Question with R CMD SHLIB in 64 bit R
...an R CMD SHLIB from \bin\i386 on the same C++ files and it produced a working dll just like usual. Is there something that I need to do to the C++ files to make them compatible with 64 bit? They are not file that I made, so I do not know how they were originally compiled. Thanks for any help. - Katharine [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Help predicting random forest-like data
...domForest library already is installed in R, so I looked in the main src directory in R, but there isn't any rf.c or other randomForest related information there. I am sure I am making some easy to remedy mistake, but I can't figure it out. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. - Katharine [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Problem with R colors
Hello, I am having difficulty obtaining the correct colors in my R charts. > colors()[c(552, 254, 26)] [1] "red" "green" "blue" But, if I specify col=552 in my barplot, I get gray bars. Likewise, col=254 gives bright pink, and col=26 is a red-orange. I get accurate results when I spell out the names, but I am making a pallet with 20- 30 colors and it is a

Greetings R users, maybe there is someone who can help me with this problem: I define a function "optim.fun" and want as output the sum of squared errors between predicted and measured values, as follows: optim.fun <- function (ST04, SM08b, ch2no, a, b, d, E) { predR <- (a*SM08b^I(2)+b*SM08b+d)*exp(E*((1/(283.15-227.13))-(1/(ST04+273.15-227.13)))) abserr

puppetrun failing: "connect'': tlsv1 alert unknown ca"
I''m trying to get puppetrun to work, without luck so far. I have my puppetmaster and clients working fine with the clients polling the master. Now I want to be able to force an update. On the master I run puppetrun as root and get root@plane:/etc/puppet#

using rbind() on multiple objects at once
Is there an efficient way to use rbind() with the five dataframes described in the following example: a <- c(1:5) list.foo <- lapply(a, function(x) data.frame(beta=a*rnorm(10), deta=a*rnorm(10))) big.data.frame <- rbind(list.foo[[1]], list.foo[[2]], list.foo[[3]], list.foo[[4]], list.foo[[5]]) #is there an easier method? For example, I naively thought you could do something like
