Active DIrectory
I am building a application for my university and I would like to make this
application authenticate agains a Active Directory server. I would like to
know if there is an already built solution for this somewhere online ?
Thanks

Ifs in formula
...s:
formula <- ifelse(z > 0, "y ~ f(x,y).", "y ~ f(x,t)")
nlm(formula, data=data)
.. but preliminary testing indicates that this might not work. The
coefficient on t does not get estimated.
Thanks in advance for all helpful suggestions!
With kind regards,
Otto

Valid users directive
...rt of the MAINT workgroup. Winbind and Samba
authenticate correctly. The issue arises when I try to limit the users
who are allowed to use a my share folder.
Most of the information I have lookup seem to say that I should set up
the Valid Users directive like this :
valid users = '@MAINT\nkassis', '@MAINT\aburns'
Of course this dosen't work. Can anyone point me to a place where I can
find information about this or any indepth explanation of how to define
users in this directive ?

Package plm & heterogenous slopes
Dear r-helpers,
I am working with plm package. I am trying to fit a fixed effects (or
a 'within') model of the form
y_it = a_i + b_i*t + e_it, i.e. a model with an individual-specific
intercept and an individual-
specific slope.
Does plm support this directly?
Thanks in advance!

Would you switch jobs for the chance to use Textmate?
Lets say you had a pretty decent job, but your company mandated use of
emacs. The poaching employer offers you a free copy of Textmate(tm).
Would you jump ship solely in order to use Textmate at company B?
Cheers,
Dave
