Hi all. me again! I've decided after some good advice from Sascha to go with a CentOS build. I've got icecast installed and running, however I'm having difficulty in finding a script that will start the icecast server on boot. Does anybody have one built, or know where I can find one? Ive kept everything pretty much standard in that the icecast server uses user "icecast"

Hi originally I installed php 4 on centos 5.5 and then a few repos including the remi repo to upgrade to php5, which seems to upgrade/work without any issues. However when I make a change to the /etc/php.ini file it doesn't look like apache is seeing it, for example if I change the post_max_size and upload_max_file to 25M each apache still sees the default 2M. I also removed the /etc/php.ini

My system is 5.6, with upgrades. I installed Java 6 from the Centos repository. It doesn't seem to have Java 7. I need the development package. How can I install Java 7 development safely? I have two HP dc7800 convertible minitowers that are exhibiting the following issue: every 5-10 minutes, they will "freeze" for about 30 seconds, and then pick right back up again. During the freeze, it seems that nothing at all happens on the system; the clock doesn't even advance (it just picks up again with the next second, and that 30-or-so seconds are lost).
