R 2.12.0 in Fedora Updates Testing
...a little bit about the testing you did and if it works okay for you or not. Then (this is the important part), click the "Works for me" or "Does not work" radio button below it, and click the Add Comment button. 6. That's it! If it worked, you've given that update a +1 karma vote. (If it didn't work, you've given it a -1 karma vote). Now, if three people give a +1, and the package update gets to +3, the Fedora Update system will automatically move the update from testing to a real update, and everyone will get it. Thanks in advance, ~spot, Fedora/EPEL R maint...

problems compiling packages | 3.3.0 | Linux
Apologies if this email is a top post. I'm not sure how to reply to a thread if I'm not subscribed. We recently encountered the same issue that Evan reported on 6/4 and I can confirm that updated to 3.3.0-5 does address the build failure. Will 3.3.0-5 make it into EPEL? If so, do you have any idea when? The current package is breaking our build process and I'm wondering if it's

Nearly Instant Karma
Our smallest network has just three systems permanently attached to a 100/1000 router.? There is one additional port available to temporarily plug in a laptop.? The largest systems are both Dells, one running Windows 7 and one running CentOS 6.7.? The Windows 7 system supports three flavors of Linux as virtual machines.? The CentOS system is often used for data file import from USB-attached

Rio Karma mini review
Hello everyone, Stopped by Best Buy last night and picked up a Rio Karma. Since from-the-trenches reviews seem scarce, I thought I might post some thoughts. The short story: I'm probably returning it, will be buying a different portable player. The software doesn't work, and I don't think I wanna screw with it. The long story: It looks co...

some smbd processes owned by root
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I'm experiencing an odd situation on my samba (3.0.9) server (RH 7.3). maybe it is normal, but I prefer to ask... Some smbd processes are not owned by the corresponding user, but by root instead : [root@karma logs]# ps faxu|grep smbd|grep ^root|wc -l 213 [root@karma logs]# ps faxu|grep smbd|grep -v ^root|wc -l 29 but samba view the processes with the right owner [root@karma logs]# smbstatus -p |grep root [root@karma logs]# Is it normal ? R 2.8.1
...edoraproject.org/updates/rpy-1.0.3-6.fc10,R-2.8.1-1.fc10 Once you've tested it, please, please, go to the update URL above and click "Add A Comment". If it works for you, click "Works for me" and write a little bit about how you tested it. That counts as a "+1" of karma for that update. When it gets to +3, the system automatically flags the update to be pushed to stable. You don't have to specifically test rpy to give karma on the update, I have a high degree of confidence in rpy continuing to work. Thanks in advance, ~spot

WINT-NT is working as PDC and Redhat Linux Samba BDC and how to use rsync?

I ran out of gas by looking through google also... :-( With Best Regards YS

Fixed updates for EL5 / EL6
...heard this song before... ;) EL5: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2016-09c8007e64 EL6: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2016-0a9e4df655 Please go download -8 and test it. It looks good on my end. If it works for you (with CRAN modules), please give positive karma so it will land in updates-stable faster than two weeks. Thanks for your patience, ~tom == Red Hat

postgis-2.0.7-2.el7 still in epel7-testing?
Hi all, I'm looking for a fix in postgis, which seems to be fixed already in postgis-2.0.7-2.el7. However that package seems to be 'stuck' in the epel7-testing repository: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=750618 https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2016-b6c229157e Is there a reason that the package is not pushed to stable yet? Or can it be

...real name is "Bodhi"): https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/ Once you're there, click the login blue box at the top left, and login with your Fedora Account. If you don't have a Fedora Account, you can give feedback, but it doesn't count towards giving the update positive karma. For that reason, I would strongly recommend that you take 45 seconds and create a Fedora Account. :) 2. mirror.centos.org ships non-updated version of bind ?
Hi, RedHat published an update for bind two weeks ago - it's fixed some bind vulnerabilities (https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1294). There's a commit 'import bind-9.9.4-74.el7_6.1' on https://git.centos.org/rpms/bind/commits/c7 since 12 ago but http://mirror.centos.org/ still ships the old non-updated version of bind (bind-9.9.4-73.el7_6.x86_64.rpm) Couldn't find

Upgrade to Asterisk 1.4 - it's one year's old!
...ard work from developers has changed this and the 1.4 personality is now much more grown-up and mature :-) I wonder if there are any major obstacles for upgrading. - Bugs that are still open? - Bugs that are not reported? - Not enough reasons to upgrade, since 1.2 really works well - Just a bad karma for 1.4 When responding, remember that we don't add new features to 1.4 after release, so I'm not looking for a wishlist - that's for the coming release. We need to make a released product stable, not add new features and potential scary bugs. Success stories with 1.4 are also wel...

plotting a double y axis when x and y lengths differ

Any suggestions will earn you well earned programing karma and many thanks from me. Cheers [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
