Samba file sharing with AD authentication doesn't work on some boxes
I have a few RHEL7 boxes, all of them are members in MS Win domain using SSSD. All of these linuxes run Samba for file sharing with the same config. Usually it works nice, but from time to time users cannot map Samba folders, with the following message in the log: [2017/03/07 14:58:27.050493, 0] ../source3/auth/auth_domain.c:121(connect_to_domain_password_server)

unix group membership -- broken in 3.0.23c?
...but user_in_group() calls lookup_name() with the parameter set to NULL. OTOH this all could be very much valid, and a change I supposed to make in my smbd.conf is not present or deeply hidden. So, it this a bug? And if not, what I need to do to enable unix groups lookups? -- Sincerely, Dmitry Karasik

Network performance
I'm running RHEL/CentOS 3 (2.4.21-47.ELsmp) with Broadcom NIC and BASP bonding (bcm5700 v8.1.55) When network traffic is ~12MB/sec (== ~120K packets/sec) CPU system load is growing up to 50-60%%. Yes, I know, that small packets (~100 bytes/packet) are not optimal for network throughput, but in the short-middle term I cannot re-write our application. Are there any network driver / kernel

Bonding problem in CENTOS4
I use bonding under CENTOS4.5 x32_62. I have these weird messages when I'm restarting network. Do you have any ideas how to fix this? (there is similar bug for centos5 http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=2404, but the author says that it worked for him in centos4...)
