video calls - Windows / Linux interoperability ?
I will install Asterisk on my home server, I want to be able to route video calls, but I need the Windows and Linux clients to be interoperable. On Linux, it looks like Ekiga is a good candidate. But how about Windows? Anyone using Kapanga in an Asterisk network that includes Ekiga? Are these two interoperable? I'm not necessarily looking for open source software, free for personal use is enough. -- Florin Andrei http://florin.myip.org/

Bluetooth headset in handsfree modewith SJPhoneor X-lite
...esn't support the headset or ctp Bluetooth profiles. This gave me fits! I followed the instructions at http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/07/05/bluetooth.html and it works with both a Plantronics and a Motorola Headset, and I can answer calls with idefisk, eyebeam, x-lite, and kapanga. If you end up not having both of these in the Bluetooth service selection, you won't end up with the results you're looking for. Video SIP Softset
Sorry if this shows twice but it appears my first message was quarantined because of my digital signature. All, I have been tasked with setting up video conferencing utilizing asterisk. One of the requirements is a softset that has video capabilities. Eyebeam looks promising but I was just wondering if anyone out there knows of any freeware with comparable features of Eyebeam that they

Converting asterisk h264 recordings
Hello, We are setting up an asterisk system for voicemail with video possibilities. We are not using the voicemail app, but rather writing our own dialplan logic. The part of recording, and replaying, the voicemail works, and we receive both an h264 and an wav-file. What I now wonder is how to convert these into one file playable by a (standard) media player. I have not found any real good
