wrr question
...y. I know that WRR can fairly distribute the traffic amongst the currently connected clients at any specific time. I''d like to know how can I restrict any client from getting more than 256kbps (or 25%) of the total link speed, even when they are the only users. EventMachine website down?

Theory test
...ewhere I must be missing something small, and I don''t want to paste millions of lines of scripts in here until I know I''ve got the theory right. The over subscription is the big problem, pure rate limiting works like a charm in my other experiments. wrr vs. htb
...the best way to handle this scenario with the ''dual'' shaping, different speeds for traffic originating from the network server and internet traffic flowing through the server. The main emphasis is on equality, everyone on the network needs to be happy. Functional Tests misbehaving with Globalize
...the moment regarding functional tests? Does the same count for integration tests? Or maybe if someone can point me in the right direction for fixing the functional tests I can get started on it. But, I need to stress how thankfull I am for the code so far, it is really a marvel. Some POP3 questions
...I'm running Gentoo, and the stable release in portage is currently dovecot 1.1.7, with 1.1.14 being available but masked. Long stories short, will Dovecot with the Postfix/LDA give performance equal than Courier-IMAP or improved (because of the cached message sizes)? wrr in 2.6.x
Guys Given the replies and interests lately on the WRR scheduler, and the shameless promotion of Route Hat (only kidding), my question is simple. Is there an alternative for the 2.6.x kernels? >From what I gather WRR is only available for the 2.4 kernels... Regards -- Kenneth Kalmer kenneth.kalmer@gmail.com http://opensourcery.blogspot.com

...ull speed and then struggles to pass the data to the client who is shaped, thus becoming the bottle neck? Just wondering if I should apply some ingress shaping specifically for squid, to prevent squid from hogging all the bandwidth while downloading a large file... Shaping of pppoe clients
...ts, and shaping on this bridge. I''m just testing the water here, after what I read in other threads it will be easier to just use a set of carefully crafted ip-up & ip-down scripts with pppd rather than the bridge. But nonetheless, opinions are always needed. Memory consumption

What would be the recommended CPU for using on an iptables firewall machine for heavy loads? Thanks in advance -- Kenneth Kalmer kenneth.kalmer@gmail.com http://opensourcery.blogspot.com
