Stubbing constructiors
This works:
class X
def X.initialize( stuff )
end
end
X.initialize("bla")
However stubbing it doesn,t:
require ''test/unit''
require ''stubba''

Is it possible with mysql ?
Is it possible to install dovecot imap / pop3 with mysql authentication,
with postfix as mta and with squirrelmail as webmail ? Is it reliable
for production state ? I'm working with courier-imap but I don't like it.

ssh bug? on Solaris
On Solaris, and presumably other architectures that don't have /dev/random,
there's a problem with a portion of OpenSSL that is used by OpenSSH.
The cause is line 390 in md_rand.c, which, as far as I can tell, in effect
causes everything up the line to kak if not enough entropy has been gathered.
Which is fine, except that it only seems to know about /dev/random as a
source of entropy.

another file type ( es: msexcel ) no problem. Double checked
permissions, all seems ok. It was working until yesterday.
Strange behavior and don't know what to

./configure and /or Makefile problem
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA512
This is on OpenBSD 3.x.
I'll fully admit not being a savvy programmer and therefore unable to
suggest a decent resolution.
It seems that _something_ in either the main "configure" script or
one of the Makefile.in templates is causing the Makefiles in
src/auth and src/util to add two variables named "AUTH_CFLAGS" and

FIPS fix for signature verification in ssh-rsa.c
code version referenced: openssh-5.9p1
Hi all,
When building openssh with openssl (specifically versions newer than openssl 0.9.8q), there is an issue if FIPS mode is active for openssl. In ssh-rsa.c on line 243 RSA_public_decrypt is called, which is disallowed now in openssl (if in FIPS mode). The library requires appliactions to use the EVP API if running in FIPS mode so it can disallow

fsflush writes very slow
I''m troubleshooting an I/O performance problem with one of our applications that does a lot of writing, generally blocks just over 32K, sequentially writing large files. It''s a Solaris 10 x86 system with UFS disk. We''re often only seeing disk write throughput of around 6-8MB/s, even when there is minimal read activity. Running iosnoop shows that most of the physical
