Compiling while * is running
I just fetched today's cvs (1/30/04 11:10:31). Compiles/installs on my
test machine (ASUS A7V, 900 MHZ). However, If I try to compile on my
production machine (Elite K7S5A, 2.4GHz, 512MB) while * is running the
zaptel and asterisk compiles seg fault. I am assuming that they will
compile correctly if I bring down * and rmmod the zaptel driver. 0.7.1
compiled and is now running.
Is there a way to safely compile while * is running, so that I can
minimize down time...

NF410
I'm looking at a motherboard with the NF410 (nforce 410) chipset (AUD,
VID, LAN on motherboard).
Is this chipset readily know by centos 4.3?
At some point nvidia changed PCI ID's and I am wonding if the NF410
PCI ID's are known by centos 4.3 before i buy?
THanks,
Jerry

beware supposed PCI 2.2 compatibility!
...quot;C" and put in the "E"; no luck. It
doesn't even show up in lspci (Linux). "We check every card before it
leaves here," Mike said. I panic. Did I do something to break it?
Well, no. It's now on another cheap ECS motherboard which also features
a SiS chipset: K7S5A Pro. But this time (guided by an old Duron 700) it
showed up in lspci; Linux hotplug loaded the hisax driver, asterisk
fired right up (and "-march=i686" is fine on an Athlon or Duron. :)
On one hand I hate to use a decent machine (IMHO under Linux an old,
old Duron qualifies as "d...

Please let me know if any additional information could be
of help. On a side note, I placed this memory on another machine

Attempting To Recover, fsck infinite looping on me
Hey all,
Had a power failure and subsequent ext3 disk corruptions. Attempting
to fix, but not working.
Its a 120 gig IDE disk, 3 partitions. /boot, /, and swap.
Basically can't boot up since the box can't get to the system files
in /usr/ or anything.
So I'm booting off of a FC2 disk 1 in recovery mode and trying to fix
the filesystem with e2fsck
The boot partition cleaned up

I just upgraded my Debian/Etch with Xen3.3 machine to Debian/Squeeze

is incompatible with xen.
My grub.cfg is:
menuentry ''Debian GNU/Linux, with Linux 2.6.32-5-xen-686 and XEN
4.0-i386'' --cl$
