Syntax in taking log to transfrom the data to fit Gaussian distribution
Hi,
I have a data set (weight) that does not follow the Gaussian (Normal)
distribution. However, I have to transform the data before applying the
Gaussian distribution. I used this syntax and used log(weight) as:
posJy.model<-glm(log(weight) ~ factor(pos),
family=gaussian(link='identity'), subset=Soil=="Jy"). This syntax COULD NOT
transform the data. But if I transform the data before applying the model,
then it works. The syntax is:
weight<-log(weight)
posJy.model<-glm(weight ~ facto...

hiding header/footer on html print?
Hello all,
I am using what might be a "poor mans" reporting... html -> print.
Who knows a way to hide the browser-included header and footer of the print?
thanks.

[PATCH] tools top level makefile cleanup
I cleaned up the top level makefile in the tools directory. No major
changes. Except I have it so that ioemmu is compiled only with x86_32.

UPS don't reset
...(serial port)
MOBO A7V8X-X
================================
Hi list,
Everything work fine, except after an AC supply shortage:
the UPS don't come back to a normal behavior, it stays
on battery (of course, it works right w/o any cable).
Is there something I can do recover a normal behavior?

spandsp 0.0.3 RxFax fax reception crashes bristuffed asterisk 1.2.13
Hi
Last month, people reported a crash with Asterisk 1.2.13 and
spandsp-0.0.3 when receiving a fax using fax detection.
Today I've tried 1.2.14 with the latest spandsp 0.0.3pre27 and with
the snapshots for app_rxfax.c and app_txfax.c.
The problem still happens.
Has anyone found how to resolve this issue?
I tried emailing Steve Underwood (with crash backtrace) but he hasn't

range segment exclusion using range endpoints
Hello,
I'm posting this again (with some small edits). I didn't get any replies
last time...hoping for some this time. :)
Currently I'm only coming up with brute force solutions to this issue
(loops). I'm wondering if anyone has a better way to do this. Thank you for
your help in advance!
The problem: I have endpoints of one x range (x_rng) and an unknown number

Single Sign On with multiple domains
Hi, can anyone provide a way to do this with rails:
I have 3 sites on different domain names.
I want a unified sign on. so that, if your logged on from one site,
your automatically logged on another site, allowing seamless navigation
between different sites as a logged in user.
I understand with cookies, you can do this for subdomains. But what
about multiple different domains?
Thanks.

About detailed rule of fastcall
Hello.
I'm trying to understand how fastcall works.
As far as I know, first two integer type arguments are passed in ecx and
edx.
I tested several test, but the result was different from what I expected

int d;
} data_t;
void __attribute__((fastcall)) test_suuu(data_t s, unsigned int a,
unsigned int b, unsigned int c);
unsigned int a is passed

Mail rescue from Dovecot Server
Hi all,
I have a mail folder from Dovecot server. Screenshot:
https://i.stack.imgur.com/11NHs.jpg
Is there any way to import to Outlook, or otherwise convert to readable
format?
I could setup Dovecot on my own server if there is any point.

How can I represent a shape using 1-D discrete wavelet descriptor s?
I only concern about the boundary of the shape and I don¡¯t concern gray
level.
U[m] = x[m] + jy[m] m= 0,1,¡,N-1 is the N points on the boundary.
It is easy to express U as a discrete Fourier series.
But it seems like that wd in the wavethresh package cannot deal with complex
values.
And it is not interesting to transfer U to a matrix.
Thanks a lot
