To all.. I was using a Gigabyte motherboard, and the board seems like a bad choice. What do you guys recommend for a decent server board that would use a Dual Core processor and DDR2 ram. I dont want to replace the CPU and Mem i already have, just find a decent board that supportsthe existing.. I have a small annoying problem with Ati video driver, when Centos 5.1 starts and gets to the login screen the resolution is too high for my monitor (better than out of range) and it's annoying can I have it start in a lower resolution. Thanks...

This is not too Important but Places > Connect to Server > Windows Share Doesn't work for me also Places > Network Servers > Windows Network doesn't work for me either. Samba, Mapping Windows Shares and Print Sharing work fine. Just curious, Thanks

Has anyone tried VMware Server 1.2 under CentOS 5?

I need to install the kernel development package for CentOS 5, I saw the RPMs on the DVD but didn't see an option at installation time like 4.4. I only need it to install VMware Server 1.02, any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

//winserver/winshare /linuxdir smbfs username=username,password=password, this line doesn't work for me in fstab in CentOS 5 to mount a Windows share, it works in other versions of RH. Any Ideas? Will using Windows NFS server/client (some reading required) work better than Samba?

I changed the default player for MP3 files to xmms, if the file is local it works fine, if the file is on a network drive ( all my music is ) it has the movie player as the default player, any way I can change that, Thanks...
