Advise on upgrading from a jurassic version - please help.
Hi all, I have inherited an old Dovecot installation which is causing headaches almost every day. I know that one of the rules says "Don't bother asking questions about v0.99.x versions. They're no longer supported."...but please bear with me, this will be quick as I only need some advise from experienced Dovecot gurus out there. I have read the Dovecot documentation and there

Missing Groups (from LDAP?)
...unable to build any version now that will correctly. The problem seems to be that samba is unable to pickup the groups of a user. We are using an LDAP backend. It all works fine on 3.0.9, but not on 3.0.14a2 or 3.0.20p1. Here's the test/example data: The OS knows the groups from NIS: jurassic:42>id -a iss03c uid=13460(iss03c) gid=201(is) groups=682(sudo),1195(cisco),815(dhcp),1233(issysnet) Samba can't see them: jurassic:43>./net user info iss03c Password: <no output> In nsswitch.conf: group: files nis smb.conf is the same as that for a working configuration,...

Please advise: sending out bogus gratuitous ARP packet from vna
I''ve implemented code to send out bogus gratuitous ARP packet from vna in order to fix CR 6701114. The webrev is at: http://jurassic.eng/net/consulte.prc/export/build/xvm-6701114/webrev Some backgroud information (see CR 6701114 for more detail): During live migration of an xVM domain from one dom0 to another, the VNIC will be moved from one switch port to another. But, the corresponding entry in <MAC,port> table on the...

Mixed effects model help
I am attempting to set up a mixed effects model, with one factor fixed (put in as.factor, with three factor levels) and one factor random(put in as.factor, with four different batches) as well as the interactions. I have tried the lme function, but R continues to crash everytime I run it... My code is: model_lme(y~a,random=~b+a:b) Is this way off base? I just need to get F statistics to do

Sharing entropy across VMs
Short question: is it possible to share entropy across all VMs and how can this be done? I found http://vanheusden.com/entropybroker/ which seems to offer a way, but I cannot get it to work, syslog tells me "stack smashing detected". So if there are ways people are currently using I''d be interested to hear them. Currently I find that even generating a gpg key on a PV VM takes

Changes to default output from post S10 zfs list
...cifying "-t snapshot, volume" displays only snapshots and volumes. On systems with thousands of datasets, snapshot information can flood the output, making the default zfs list command less useful in the case where the user is not interested in information about snapshots. One example is jurassic-x4600.sfbay which has around 1700 zfs filesystems but more than 55000 snapshots. This case adds a new inheritable dataset property named "listsnaps" which is off by default. When the value of this property is set to on then zfs list displays snapshot information for this dataset. If the...

zfs list improvements?
To improve the performance of scripts that manipulate zfs snapshots and the zfs snapshot service in perticular there needs to be a way to list all the snapshots for a given object and only the snapshots for that object. There are two RFEs filed that cover this: http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6352014 : ''zfs list'' should have an option to only present direct
