SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv3 read server certificate B
I ran in this problem an digged the net for a while to find a solution.
I have a fresh puppet install, and most nodes run fine but some exhibit
the following error:
err: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: SSL_connect
returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv3 read server certificate B: certificate

permissions question
I have a samba share that has the following permissions:
create mask = 0775
force create mode = 0664
directory create mask = 0775
force directory mode = 0764
1.) Does this means DOS/windows files will be created as rwxrwxr-x per
"create mask" or rw-rw-r-- per "force create mode"?
2.) Do I need both create mask & force create mode or is one

Accented characters in share names
Hello,
I'm facing a problem that should be common but for which I don't find
much info. I'm trying to smbmount some smb share served by a w2k3
server. I've no problem to mount the shares unless their name includes
accented letters. I've successfully replaced the spaces in the names by
\040 but replacing the accented letter by their UTF-8 and latin-1 in
octal value, but

Linear Regression with lm Forcing the Slope to Equal 1
Is there a way to do a linear regression with lm (having one predictor
variable) and constrain the slope of the line to equal 1?

Problem With NFS and iptables
I have a setup where I am running on a machine with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Release 3. I have a userland program that is attempting to attach to libipq. When I issue the ''iptables -A OUTPUT -t mangle -j QUEUE'' command to attach, the machine hangs. The only way to unhang the machine is to do a hard restart.
