repeating rows or columns within a matrix
Hello Spse I have a matrix, say 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and I would like to expand it by repeating rows within the matrix, to get, if the repeating factor is 2, say: 123 123 456 456 789 789 (or columnwise as well) . There must be a smart way of doing that? Many thanks Juhana Vartiainen juhana.vartiainen at labour.fi -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-help mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not...

Index matrix to pick elements from 3-dimensional matrix
...e "depth" dimension: J= 1 3 2 3 In other words, I want X to be X= a j g l since the matrix J says that the (1,1)-element should be picked from A[,,1], the (1,2)-element should be picked from A[,,3], etc. I have A and I have J. Is there an expression in A and J that creates X? inverted axis
...yer 1 to player 2:s actions) To illustrate Nash equilibrium , I would like to plot these in the same picture, with inverted axes, so that (X,BR2) is plotted with X on horizontal and BR2 on vertical axis (X, BR1) is plotted with X on vertical axis and BR1 on horizontal axis. How can I do that ? Large codebook?
...16 samples) between the original audio and the linear interpolation are computed. Residues would go from 0.0 to 0.0. 5. The residues are vector quantized. For each 16 samples, one sample and one codebook reference would be stored. With 16-bit audio it would mean 1:4 compression ratio. Comments? One codebook for all audiofiles?
...bis or LAME, I would like to know how to compare the original audio and the decoded audio? With LAME, a simple sample-by-sample comparison failed badly (the error was as high as 7 bits). With ratio 1:4 I aim at archival quality and thus the overall error counts, not psychoacoustics. ...t. I have written down as much details as I could --- they are available via e-mail for those who didn't got the entire first mail on this topic. Perhaps it would be a waste of time, but the author of that paper should have mentioned the audio sources in the first place. Bad science. Regards, Juhana
