AD allows LDAP connection and there is even special attribute for storing password (unicodePwd), that attribute cannot be read, but can be written under some circumstances: http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBM/tip6000/rh6088.htm I cannot figure out what to do, because that attribute must be written in clear, not NT/LM hash. Hi Folks, I emailed earlier about some samba / network issues we are having with in a mixed OS environment. I believe that our problem might be being caused by possible multiple Browse Masters in the windows machines. What I am trying to find is a good way to help determine this. I am having some trouble saving some files to a network share after they have been opened for a few minutes. My case in point is I have samba 2.2.4 setup on redhat 7.3 as a PDC and win2k clients.
