Time Synchronisation
Hi. I'm running on a Windows 98 client and an RS6000 with Samba 2.0.7 (latest). I've used "net time \\ibrissde /SET /YES" to sync the times between the two systems ... but if I save a file onto the RS6000 through Samba on a mapped drive the file in UNIX is 1 hour old. I haven't been able to find any help on this so I'm assuming it's a bug !? This was also true

RExcel doesn't get active dataset
Hey everyone When I try to 'get active dataframe' from the context menu in excel using Rcmdr menus in excel, only the header and first row of data gets copied to the excel spread sheet. No clue why this is happening. I followed the instructions from 'R through Excel' pg 25-26. I'm using excel 2010, Rcmdr v 1.6-0 and R 2.11.1. Much appreciate any help Sent via my BlackBerry

POSIXlt, POSIXct, strptime, GMT and 1969-12-31 23:59:59
...t;1969-12-31 23:59:59","%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S"))) POSIXct[1:1], format: NA According to ?strptime NA should be returned if the time doesn't exist. As far as I can tell, 1969-12-31 23:59:59 does exists. Using a simple C program (source follows this message): [veblen:~/Rforge/xts] jryan% ./a.out Date as tm struct (POSIXlt):1969-12-31 23:59:59 sec: 59 min: 59 hour: 23 mday: 31 mon: 11 year: 69 wday: 3 yday: 364 seconds since the Epoch: -1 Which gives the -1. how do I build panel data/longitudinal data models with AR terms using the plm package or any other package
Hi All, I am doing econometric modeling of panel data (fixed effects). We currently use Eviews to do this, but I have discovered a bug in Eviews 7 and am exploring the use of R to build panel data models / longitudinal data models. I looked at the plm package but do not see how I can incorporate AR terms in the model using the plm package. I have an Eviews model with two AR terms, AR(1) and

Panel Data Analysis in R
You wrote: Ø Dear All, Ø Can anyone provide me with reference notes(or steps) towards analysis of?? (un)balanced panel data in R. Ø Thank you! The "plm" package does panel data analysis in R. See the vignette at: cran.r-project.org/web/packages/plm/vignettes/plm.pdf. There are other similar articles by the same authors, Yves Croissant and Giovanni Millo, and one of these is the

Roving profiles on Samba 2.0.6
I was using Samba 2.0.4 and I've upgraded to 2.0.6. I'm running on FreeBSD 3.3. Since I've upgraded, roaming profiles seem to be the default, and it's causing me some grief. I'm not ready to introduce them, and what happens is that when a user logs onto a machine with office 97, the office 97 policies get stored in their home directories. That's okay until they log onto

File corruptions on write using Samba 2.0.6
I've just moved our school's library database from a Windows NT machine to a FreeBSD 3.4-STABLE machine running Samba 2.0.6 installed from the port. I've had a lot of files become corrupted since then. The support house that has had to repair these files, said that the beginning and end of the file are there, but there's a big gap of nulls in the middle. I'm using log level
