R128gain & metaflac
...insert R128 tags in place of RG tags and make it work properly. I have used RG for a long time, but R128 tags does a better at adjusting perceived volume between albums so I prefer R128. I store music files on a Linux NAS and would like to perform calculations on the same box. With foobar2000 (or JRiver win) I'd have to do this across a Samba mount which is slow(ish) At 00:19 16.06.2014, you wrote: >Olav Sunde wrote: > >> has anyone looked at adding R128gain code to metaflac so we can select >> to use this calculation for RP tags rather than replay gain? > >Why metafl...

...nd quality is already superior to mp3 (LAME or Fhg) and other formats on many of our tests. Honestly, we're not completely sure how to jump in and start helping, or even if we'd be welcome. If anyone could fill us in with some details, that'd be wonderful. You can reach me at matt@jriver.com or through this mailing list. Thanks for all of your awesome work on Ogg and take care. -Matt Ashland (matt@jriver.com) --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/

[PATCH] More generic version of MSVC bug workaround
There was a fix for a bug in MSVC 2015 update2: https://github.com/xiph/flac/commit/94a61241b02064c7d9fe508f72a742f2a90b8492 It seems that it's not the only version affected, see comment from 40th in this commit. Also, JRMC is affected: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,115742.0.html So, it makes sense to remove version check: better safe than sorry, and performance impact should be very small (probably negligible) anyway. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... R128gain & metaflac
Hi has anyone looked at adding R128gain code to metaflac so we can select to use this calculation for RP tags rather than replay gain?
