This is were it gets a little complicated jPlayer http://jplayer.org/latest/demos/ Where music is played from the web site rather then from the client At the creation of our web site we made a decision to only stream mp3's. All music uploaded is converted to the mp3 format. We felt the complexity would be less difficult Rather the get in...

When I click those, it does not open in the player it says there. And it makes no sense imo to have this kind of links, it's better to have a playlist link like the m3u Icecast provides and the user will have the

Making a smooth transition between sources?
I have a Flash player on my page - so that explains it. Is there some sort of in-browser player I can use that doesn't have this property? That leads to another good question - how can I create a link on my page that opens itunes directly? I have a link to a .pls file - but that downloads a file that then has to be opened to open itunes... On Mon, Jan 30, 2012 at 9:00 PM, Brandon Casci

Re What HTML5 radio player do you use ?
Its seem to be ok in here. Also, i would suggest giving http://jplayer.org/ a try, provides fallback solutions as well as customization options and large active community. Customized M3u for Icecast. Are there additional switches on XML / M3u Ezstream to override MetaData Tags in Mp3 with alternate tags
...ng is an ability to use the SQL data by someone by customizing the M3u String to incorporate the Meta Data entered by the band in their profile. So the short end of the stick is, can we customize the m3u to take more then the location of the file, but port over contents of the SQL, to show in the jPlayer ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S> IceCast is running under Centos 6.6 and ezstream is running under Windows 2008 Server. Icecast AAC FLV Container
Hello, I am using Icecast v2.4.1 to to stream AAC audio to web clients through jPlayer. If HTML5 is not supported then it uses Flash Player. The problem is that Flash player does not play AAC streams as is, and from a quick google search someonw suggested I append "?type=.flv" to the url. I cannot make it work though as whatever I request, I get a response with mime type &...

...can't play OGG for example, but does do AAC and MP3. So yes you do need a Flash fallback - I use MediaElement.js as part pf a Wordpress plugin. I wish it was more customisable?some of the others that purport to be HTML5 players don't seem to work, with a libShout or Icecast stream at all - JPlayer works but the skins are *awful* and I don't have the time to make one as it looks really hard, but JWPlayer refused to work with my stream. Shame because JWPlayer's HTML5 > Flash fallback is really good. The only other one I got to work but not with stream info is svnlabs HTML5 player. T...

Icecast 2.4.3 stop play on https
Hi, We use Icecast 2.4.3 and SSL streaming for a long time on CentOS 6 and 7. The last time we have some problems on playing 192k mp3 on https. The stream play 2 second and stop, on http we have not that problem. (we restart the encoder, but same problem) (we use a jPlayer and direct stream url in chrome) We check on the error log, but no errors and in the access log we see: 2001:980:79b3:0:b1cd:e5ab:3280:e9bd - - [03/Sep/2018:17:24:00 +0200] "GET /live HTTP/1.1" 200 11648 "https://www.domein.nl/" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) Ap...

Icecast Release 2.4.0 Webm /Opus Support
Hello its me again :-P hope its appropriate to ask every 2 years if there is a simple method to stream a " live" Video stream via icecast2. I tryed rtmpd.com with Adobe Livemedia encoder with jplayer embeding into webpage and it worked fine, but my goal is to use icecast. From what i understand VCL or ffmpeg is the common method to stream video to a icecast2 server are there any howtoos or blogposts, because there is silence in the http://icecast.imux.net forum aswell. The 3rd party client...

Enhanced Podcasts with Ogg Vorbis (Chapter Marks)
Hello list! Since it is more and more common these days to create enhanced podcasts (= audio files with additional chapter markers [1]), I am searching for an alternative to the currently used MP4 format. ID3 also puplished an official standard for chapters [2], but nobody seems to use and support it. Now I am trying to get something similar with vorbis audio (and maybe an additional

Still the big Icecast problem!
Easy... when I made this java applet : http://rbg.online.stalig.net/jplayer/radio-bro-gwened.html I used a signed lib from jorbis without modifying it. I just made a subclass of JOrbisPlayer which change the behaviour for what I wanted. I can provide my wall JBuilder project for those interested to use it. Easy way: - just change the html file to feed it with your ogg s...

Converting media to m4v format using ffmpeg
Can anyone help me convert media to m4v format. I guess ffmpeg would be a nice choice coz I have a rails application where I need to do the conversion. I google, but could not find the solution. BTW I am using jplayer for playing video which only takes m4v video file and thats the reason I need to convert video submitted by user. Thanks in advance. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. To post to this group, send email to rubyonrail...
