reading formatted txt file into a data frame
Dear all
Lets say I have a plain text file as follows:
> cat(c("[ID: 001 ] [Writer: Steven Moffat ] [Rating: 8.9 ] Doctor Who",
+ "[ID: 002 ] [Writer: Joss Whedon ] [Rating: 8.8 ] Buffy",
+ "[ID: 003 ] [Writer: J. Michael Straczynski ] [Rating: 7.4 ]
Babylon [5]"),
+ sep = "\n", file = "tmp.txt")
I would somehow like to read in this file to R and covert it into a
data frame like this:

CRM Solutions - Incoming Calls & Outgoing Calls
...ne a fixed extension, and then have the company directory (with
links to the agent lists) help people find their current extension?!
Probably the best way, would be to consider the phone as having an
alphanumeric line (ie SIP/desk1) and then map the extension (ie 7709)
to the agent directly (ie joss.bobby), and then have the agent login to
the system (ie login name - joss.bobby or 7709) - at which point
Asterisk can route calls for that agent's number to the line (7709 =
joss.bobby -> logged in -> SIP/desk1). That would support the Web Based
Agent Login - allowing them to login i...

[Bug 1065] password expiration and SSH keys don't go well together

Product: Portable OpenSSH

Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: PAM support
AssignedTo: bitbucket at mindrot.org
ReportedBy: joss at debian.org
We are running a setup using pam_ldap, and password expiration. When a password
is expired, PAM forces the user to change it. However, here is what happens when
using a SSH key to log in without a password:

nmbd startup fails
Dear all,
I regret that I am very new to this tool from the install side. I have so far altered shares on a running machine only.
I have (thanks to Joss for some help already) installed version 3.4.3 under AIX 6.1 giving it our preferred base directory of /opt/freeware/samba/3.4.3
I have copied over the smb.conf file from the source machine (AIX 5.2 / Samba 2.0.7) and tweaked the content of .../sbin so that a shell script intercepts the call to th...

Variable modified from within a function
...ata[index] for a given
index. Apparently, data[index] <- new.value makes data become a local
variable of g and any modification remains unnoticed by f() and other
functions. So, is there any convenient to do that without returning big
arrays, vectors, or whatever?
Many thanks in advance.

Need a RTP/SIP Proxy to be used as SBC (Session Border Controller)
Hi all,
I have been using asterisk to do such kind of thing,
But I must admitt, this is not 100 % conveniant (Mainly because Asterisk
isn't a SIP Proxy).
I just wanted to know if you knew/used some kind of SBC or packages which
would deal both with SIP AND RTP !
SER/OpenSER woulc be a good SIP Proxy ... but then how to deal with RTP ?
Any tip, info greatly welcome !
Thanks,
JM

Mystery Samba (3.4.1) and Win7
Hi!
I read many threads and tried many "solutions" but
I can't get Win7 (RTM, 64 bit) and Samba 3.4.1 to work together.
I am still failing with the "trusteeship" problem during
the first logon after domain join.
Is there a working solution?
regards
Martin
