some smbd processes owned by root

Hi,
I'm experiencing an odd situation on my samba (3.0.9) server (RH 7.3).
maybe it is normal, but I prefer to ask...
Some smbd processes are not owned by the corresponding user, but by root

[root@karma logs]# ps faxu|grep smbd|grep ^root|wc -l

[root@karma logs]# ps faxu|grep smbd|grep -v ^root|wc -l
