Running or Installing
Being new to Wine I am wondering; is it better to run a program
installed via MS Windows or is it preferable to reinstal using Wine.

font problem: seems to be misconfigured
Hello,
I found fonts are really weird when running firefox 1.1 alpha : all text
is printed in italics and special characters are displayed as greek
characters; spaces are missing; you can see a screenshot at

what should I do? I'm thinking something with fonts is misconfigured,
but I wouldn't know what

wine-alsa gives compile errors
Hello,
I'm not sure where to post this, so posting to wine-users and wine-devel;
I got wine sources from cvs and tried compiling it -- something seems to

Hopefully this is fixed soon
regards,
Joris

font problem with wine 0.9.9
I have a font problem with wine 0.9.9 that wasn't there in 0.9.8;

wine used before, and where are they placed? (it seems
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts is the directory that is mentioned?)
Also, filezilla shows the same problem - it's far worse in this

Mozilla ActiveX control
Hello,
I'm using wine/cvs and I'm trying to get IE6 installed (the windows tree
I got using method #2 doesn't work with the current wine/cvs)
I setup the config file so wine simulates an nt environment; then, after
deselecting VML the download completes;
However, wine then complains I do not have the Mozilla ActiveX control
installed (for mshtml.dll)
Can anyone tell me how to
