Pause in non-interactive mode
...) It simply continues, I guess the stdin is not connected? Does somebody know how to make it work. My script plots a few graphs (in X11 windows) and I don't want them to disappear immediately. A Sys.sleep(infinite) would probably work, but I thought there might be a better solution? Thanks, Jonne.

Centos 5 Asterisk 1.4 FreePBX Install script
Hi, All Here is the install script that I promised. Let me know if there are any problems. I did not include nv_faxdetect in this yet, I am still working on that. The hylafax-iaxmodem script I posted earlier should work on CentOS 5. http://jonnt.users.taylortelephone.com/asterisk/centos5-asterisk1.4-install.sh Jonn

fax / t38 gateway
I'm trying to figure out how to handle our fax line when we switch to our asterisk for voice. After a lot of reading and poking about I have concluded, as have many others it would seem, that the best thing to do is either to have a separate pstn fax line or use some sort of internet faxing service rather than try and make faxing work in a way it's not meant to over voip lines.

samba 4 idmap problem
Seems that each system is making up it own id's. parameter couldn't be set in high-level plot() function
...that raises warnings (and the labels do not show up at the end). It does work to call title(... xlab="blah", ylab="foo") after bandplot (), but then I have two labels on top of each other, which is even more ugly. Can anyone explain me why this goes wrong? Thanks in advance, Jonne. > x11() ; bandplot(x=xdata, y=zdata) [works fine] > x11() ; bandplot(x=xdata, y=zdata, xlab="blah", ylab="foo") There were 22 warnings (use warnings() to see them) > warnings() Warning messages: 1: parameter "xlab" couldn't be set in high-level plot()...

If Linux then make sure share file system is xattrs capable and enable it in /etc/fstab (I believe). If not you can use: posix:eadb = /usr/local/samba/private/eadb.tdb in global. This does NOT scale well. > > > > I have tried giving

Samba 3.6 + sssd 1.9.5
I have been using winbind for awhile on y linux servers and workstations. This has worked ok. I am changing to sssd and need to verify the basic samba config so that samba uses sssd and not winbind. Here is my smb.conf. My domain is an samba4 domain running forest level 2003 and domain level 2008r2. SSSD is up and working and getent passwd can see my domain users. Pam and nss is also

Some direction of Samba4 Sid to Uid/Gid ?
Did a git-pull and built samba4, up and running with winbind. I have a file server, which will be access by windows. Say I have a user named "abcde" (uid = 1000), under group "abcde) (gid = 1000). When I created a user with samba-too (samba-tool newuser abcde xxxxx), it creates an account "abcde" with mapped uid 300018 under group user users. I am really wondering if

vfs_recycle folder limit management
Hi all, Running SerNet Samba 4.0.9 on CentOS 6.4 serving as an AD DC and fileshare for XP clients. Added recycler per the example at https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions to my smb.conf. Works great. My concern is that the recycle dir will eventually grow large. vfs_recycle's docs mention a parameter for limiting individual file sizes, but what's a best

Need a SIP trunk provider for US - Dallas/TX
All, I'm in Dallas, TX, US and am looking for inbound-only DID service with 10+ channels on a SIP trunk. Is anyone on this list doing something similar and have any recommendations for a provider? Of course I'll be routing either SIP/IAX to an asterisk server that will be hosted in a Dallas colocation facility. I found VoxBone.com but they only want to deal with customers that can

SOLVED Symlink outside the share path
Okay, this problem is solved. It turns out when I was doing the wide links and unix extensions option it really was working. It wasn't until I logged out and logged back in to the client to get a fresh smb connection that it worked. So I'm good. Thanks for the help everyone. I appreciate it.
