X11 on Dell D830 with latest 7.1-PRERELEASE
...and that came up with no problems. However, after doing an installworld, X is now broken. Prior to this update, the D830 was running -STABLE from Nov-2008; which appeared to work fine. All ports are up to date. I'd appreciate any help in resolving this problem. how to order POSIXt objects ?
...test2.sort <- order(test2$DATE, -test2$mytime) Error in `-.POSIXt`(test2$mytime) : unary '-' is not defined for "POSIXt" objects It's at this stage where I have got stuck as I'm new to R and don't yet know a way of getting around this error. Thanks in advance. JonC -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/how-to-order-POSIXt-objects-tp3304609p3304609.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

top failure
Hello gentlemen, I've discovered an interesting failure on some machine running 4.7. It's so weird so I'd very unlikely notice it at all, but thanks to top(1): when launched, instead of displaying some useful figures it exits with an error: "top: nlist failed". >From quick look it appears that kvm_nlist() returns NULL for nlst[0].n_type. Strange, ignoring; next exit point

Problems using unique function and !duplicated
Hi, I am trying to simultaneously remove duplicate variables from two or more variables in a small R data.frame. I am trying to reproduce the SAS statements from a Proc Sort with Nodupkey for those familiar with SAS. Here's my example data : test <- read.csv("test.csv", sep=",", as.is=TRUE) > test date var1 var2 num1 num2 1 28/01/11 a 1 213 71 2

odd uptime error message
I checked the archives and /usr/src/UPDATING and didn't see anything relating to this, and I might have easily missed it in the digest. I've got two different boxes that are running a recent -stable, and recently they both started spitting out the error message uptime: /dev/:0: No such file or directory before printing out the results. This may have actually started some time ago, as

Pre/post-increment addressing mode in LSR
Dear all, From what I can gather, there is currently no way for loop strength reduction to target pre- and post-increment addressing modes. This is because the target hook `isLegalAddressingMode` in TargetTransformInfo.h doesn’t allow for pre- and post-increment. There is in fact a comment to that effect on the function prototype: “TODO: handle pre/postinc as well” (see

Browsing
I am configuring Linux (2.0.33) as a local router. I am wanting to use Samba (1.9.18p3) to "manage" the browse lists on my network so that computers on each subnet can browse resources on the other subnets. My local network consists of Win95 and NT40 workstations with NT40 servers. My test configuration consists one token ring segment on one side of the Samba box (network .192) and

Refresh or Cache Problem with Samba 2.0.2
Everyone, I have an odd problem. I have Shares that are accessed by both PC and Solaris clients. When a file is read by a PC and then Modified by a UNIX session the changes to that file only show up on the UNIX sessions. Samba seems to Cache the file and use the old incorrect data. If you modify the file with a PC application then everything is fine and the "Cache" is updated. I was
