External Dial-up Modem
...server to a console port on a switch I can
successfully access the switches serial console. So I know the serial
port itself is working. The modem still works fine if connected to a
Centos 5 server.
Any thoughts?

Linux routing
Anyone here using Quagga/Zebra and OSPFd to accomplish Equal Cost
Multipath.
I have Quagga up and working I just can't get it to insert more than one
route into the kernel for any given destination.

network interface activation order
...t's bonded-vlan members have been created. What this means is that the
bridge is created but not activated.
Is there anyway for me to influence the activation order and have bridge
interfaces dealt with last?

Centos Router
...nce tuning but they all seem
to be about tuning a single host, not a router. Does any have any tips
in this area? Is tuning even required.
For the sake of the conversation lets assume I am referring to CentOS 5.

Squid caching
Anyone here running a squid caching server in transparent mode, that
uses the original client ip when retreiving content from the remote
server instead of its own ip.
Did you have to patch the kernel to allow squid to create tcp packets
with a seemingly incorrect src address

change to ping
Has anyone else noticed with CentOS 5, that ping now starts at icmp_seq
1 instead of 0. It's clearly not a problem, just curious if anyone
knows why it changed.
