If H264 however does exist please correct me as I would like to see any work done with it for future reference. Stream HD video
Hello everybody, I am new on this mail-list. I want to try to config a HD video stream server on my LAN. I use Debian Squeeze OS and the idea is to use H.264 video codec. I just install Icecast2 on a Debian Lenny server and it works great with a OGG audio playlist. I have lost of questions about it: 1. Is possible to configure Icecast2 to stream video as LiveTV? 2. Which will be the best client

transfer incoming call to VM without answering call
Hi, i'm a newbie running Asterisk 1.2.1 with Cisco 7940/7960 SIP version 7.4 phones. Is there any way in the dial plan or other mystical conf file to allow a user whose extension is presently ringing to press a button on their phone that would instantly send the incoming call to the called user's voice mail without "answering" the call?? i'm relatively new to icecast as well but so far as I understand, i don't think icecast will work with H.264. Most of the documentation and information i've seen suggests that the best (and maybe only?) video codec that icecast will stream and manage is (the more patent-free) Theora codec. Someone please feel free to correct me if i've misspoken. On Thu, Aug 12, 2010 at 12:40

Starting Icecast as a service on CentOS
Could you use a site like pastebin.com to show us what your init script looks like that you've tried? Although the typical init script is certainly more preferable, you could always just append that command you know to be working to /etc/rc.local although you may want to direct stdout and stderr somewhere. File transfers to Windows XP x64 stalling and dying after a few minutes. [SOLVED]
just wanted to post to the list that i just had a very very similar issue to Geoff's but in this case the client OS (using samba as a file server) was Windows Server 2003 x64 R2 SP1 and the samba version was 3.0.24. After much googling and config trial-and-error, i found that upgrading to the recently-released Windows Server 2003 SP2 alleviated my problem. I also corresponded with Geoff
