...;t figure out from the fact that their app never started, and they are going to have to run the app from the command line anyway to debug it any further. Windows itself doesn't give users any such message, and Wine was already showing similar messages generated by the apps themselves just fine. JMHO.

winetricks sets overrides globally rather than per app
...ms. Is there a command line syntax that will tell winetricks to set the overrides only for one particular program within a wineprefix (and if so what is it)? This does seem to be something that's likely to confuse new users--at the very least, it should be mentioned on the winetricks wiki page. JMHO.

...d my ignorance about just how far the binary compatibility with RedHat extended within the CentOS community and have learned from the questions posed. I think it fair to say the objective of binary compatibility has greater weight with CentOS folks than completeness and correctness, but that's JMHO and like Dennis Miller, I could be wrong about that. Who asking users to install native DirectX?
More and more poor clueless users getting to nowhere installing that stuff according to some howtos. Who are writing those? And why are they directing people to install it in the first place? The only person I've found who created that howto everyone links to - Tom Wickline states EXPLICITLY THAT THIS IS FOR TESTING PURPOSES ONLY!!! AND NOT TO BE USED WITH ANY REAL LIFE APPLICATION! Are
