Strange, most probably unjustified, codoc mismatch for S4 method with one argument plus '...' (re-try)
...he warning that argument y is present
in the code but missing in the documentation , although it is actually
NOT in the code. In order to make this reproducible for everybody, I put
together a little dummy package in which one of the methods leads to
exactly this warning:
http://www.bioinf.jku.at/people/bodenhofer/codocMismatchTest_0.0.1.tar.gz
Just run 'R CMD check' on this archive and you'll see. You will also see
from the code and the corresponding documentation that the warning seems
unjustified. I tried the following R versions: 2.12.1, 2.13.0, 2.13.1,
2.14.0, 2.14.1...

Version 1.3.0 of apcluster package on CRAN
...ropagation in fulfillment of multiple users requests. It should now be
much easier to cluster large data sets. Apart from this extension, the
interfaces to apcluster() and related functions have been made more
comfortable and flexible. For more details, see the following URLs:

betareg question - keeping the mean fixed?
Hello,
I have a dataset with proportions that vary around a fixed mean, is it
possible to use betareg to look at variance in the dispersion parameter
while keeping the mean fixed?
I am very new to R but have tried the following:
svec<-c(qlogis(mean(data1$scaled)),0,0,0)
f<-betareg(scaled~-1 | expt_label + grouped_hpi, data=data1, link.phi="log",

Version 1.3.1 of apcluster package on CRAN
Dear colleagues,
This is to inform you that Version 1.3.1 of the R package apcluster has
been released on CRAN. We did a major improvement of heatmap and
dendrogram plotting, as well as several minor improvements of the
package. For more details, see the following URLs:

findFreqTerms vs minDocFreq in Package 'tm'
I am using 'tm' package for text mining and facing an issue with finding the
frequently occuring terms. From the definition it appears that findFreqTerms
and minDocFreq are equivalent commands and both tries to identify the
documents with terms appearing more than a specified threshold. However, I
am getting drastically different results with both. I have given the results
from both the

Problem on flexmix when trying to apply signature developed in one model to a new sample.
Dear
R Users, R Core Team,
I have a problem when trying to know the
classification of the tested cases using two variables with the function of flexmix:
After importing the database and creating
a matrix:
BM<-cbind(Data$var1,Data$var2)
I see that the best model has 2 groups and

[LLVMdev] ANTLR?

and from the date it would probably fit in with my mental records as being
the last time the request was posted.
For this very reason I actually started using things like Spirit (
http://spirit.sourceforge.net/), and Coco/R (http://ssw.jku.at/coco/) rather
than ANTLR as my parser generation tool when I needed something that worked
well with C++.
I take it though that the main reason you are thinking about using ANTLR is
because of the availability of a pretty good, and existing C++ grammar?

[LLVMdev] ANTLR?
That sounds like a problem. Just so I understand, do you mean there
isn't the run-time support etc. to write back ends for the C++
language, or that the compiler IR is also somehow insufficient to
write a code generator?

CFLAGS="-g $OPTIMIZ -mno-tls-direct-seg-refs" \
as suggested on this page
http://www.pervasive.jku.at/About_Us/Staff/Hochreiter/Server_Virtualization/
but its failed i have only installed the glibc-2.5-i486-4.tgz afterwards
thats all it says. I still get tls warnings. I''m pretty sure i have
followed everything correctly according to those instructions although i
