Winbind = yes
...ount
login: "account"
but none would work.
If I change Use Domain Name = Yes then I can telnet in successfully.
Fix: I just use the default as I don't need to telnet in.
I was just interested if it could be done.

IS there ANYBODY who has got winbind working on Solaris ?. Is this thing
not compliant to Solaris or is there anything to work around?

when i do a wbinfo -t?. Wbinfo -u and -g works. also getent passwd and
groups also is working fine it shows all NT user stats. I shall attach my

HI,
I am working as research assistant at South dakota University, in Computing
Services Dept. Right now we are working on Suse Linux, We are trying to
configure Samba Server on a linux machine. But when we try to open the
file/folders in Windows NT machine. Then it ask for user name and Password.
Where the global parametrs are set to open to all and all password are set
to NO. Now I dont

when i try wbinfo -t the output is

Dear all,
Got a problem that turns me around. I'm quite new to samba.
Yesterday when i tried the wbinfo -u/-g and other options worked without
any worry. Also there was no error in the UNIX passwd program where i even
changed the root password. This morning onwards i'm facing with problems
where the wbinfo says there is an error looking up the domain for users and
groups -h -i works
