More recent GDE on CentOS 5+
I have not had any success building a more recent version of GDE than 2.16.0 on CentOS. I tried jhbuild, and went line by line using the how-to web page for jhbuild (http://www.gnome.org/~jamesh/jhbuild.html), and I get hung up on dbus-glib-l (which does not appear to be in CentOS or available for it, at least from base, updates, extras, KB & rpmforge). Garnome is another possibility that I have...

How is this possible?
As an experiment, I am attempting to build a more recent version of GNOME than 2.16.0 on CentOS 5.1. I've tried both garnome and jhbuild, and neither one works quite right. Jhbuild blows out looking for a dbus-glib-1 revision >= 0/74 (the release rev is 0.70), so I downloaded that and tried to build it. This results in the following error: gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wchar-subscripts -Wmissing-declarations -Wmissing-prototypes -Wnested-...

[fdo] LDTP 0.5.0 Released!!!
...Thanks to Venkateswaran ('whacko'), Harishankaran ('sp2hari') and Theyagarajan ('Taggy') for making this happen. For more information on this please refer to http://ldtp.freedesktop.org/wiki/RecordHOWTO + Integration with Tinderbox - LDTP has been integrated with the GNOME jhbuild. Using this feature one can execute test scripts automatically at the end of successful completion of package building using jhbuild. This was done as part of Google SoC. Thanks to Prashanth Mohan ('Casanova') again for his wonderful contribution. Please refer to the following links for mor...

Newer GNOME than base release
...s version any more - all bugs go into the bit bucket. 2) Having been exposed to Fedora 8 at work and seeing how much more flexible GNOME 2.22 is, I would REALLY like to take a shot at using it on my CentOS systems. 3) I asked about this on the GNOME list and I was told I should build it, and that jhbuild or garnome would do the job for me. This has not been my experience - both of them have major hangups building on my home desktop (the 64-bit hybrid CentOS 5.1 environment). 4) Johnny suggested I try mock to build in a chroot, pure 64-bit environment. I was unable to locate a mock that actually...

[LLVMdev] VMKit GNU classpath configure
Thanks for the response. Since X11 is by default installed on OS X when the developer tools are installed. Running autoconf fixed the issue with configure not finding X11, although I did not check why the configure script did not have the correct path (I'm assuming this was the case). Next I'm on to the gtk+ dependencies which I'm going to try to solve with macports if I have to. I

patches for xiph build setup
Hi, I offered some time ago to do some build cleanup. Today I did so and here's my slew of patches. Basically, they - touch ogg, vorbis, vorbis-tools and theora - fix a bunch of autotools issues - uniformize the use of them across the four - fix compile/link flags - use pkgconfig if it's available to detect flags - for vorbis-tools, generate and use config.h - add -uninstalled .pc stuff

[Bug 15276] New: text rendering, PGRAPH_ERROR/ILLEGAL_MTHD/ PROTECTION_FAULT spam in syslog
...I was using are openbox (text in menu doesn't render), xterm (text renders), epiphany (menu text doesn't render, some website text renders). I've attached the xorg log and the stretch of syslog (with drm debug=1) when Xorg was active. I built xorg and nouveau from git yesterday using jhbuild. The nv driver in Debian sid doesn't have this problem (2.1.8). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
