Jetway, Atom, and Digium cards - play well together?
Hi, I'd like to know from other people's experience using Asterisk and Digium cards like the TDM410P and B410P on Atom system (.e. giwth D525 CPU) and Jetway motherboards. Any operational instability, unexpected freezes, etc or in your experience it's a stable combination? Thanks in advance for any sharing! appliance to embed Centos
I'm looking for some kind of appliance like box, maybe something like this:http://www.soekris.com/net5501.htm on which I could deploy iptables based firewall/openvpn/DNS and other local network services in a wide area network. I would probably install on a flash device. I would prefer something that was relatively easy to install on, or at least has been used with CentOS before, where

Integrated RTL8168/8111 NIC not assigned interface
I'm running 7.0-RELEASE-i386 on Jetway's NC92-N230 mainboard. The board has one integrated RTL8168/8111 gigabit NIC as well as an expansion board with three RTL8168/8111 NICs. Why would the three NICs work while the onboard NIC does not? none2@pci0:1:0:0: class=0x020000 card=0x816810ec chip=0x816810ec rev=0x02 hdr=0x00 v...

Motherboard and chipset compatibility
...t that I have to get it right the first time (and I haven't built a PC in a decade); the time and money cost of shipping anything to and from my remote location in Chile means I can't afford to waste time buying and returning things. First question: does anyone have any experience with the Jetway NF9E-Q77 or ZOTAC Z77ITX-A-E motherboards? Having struck out on Intel Q77 or Z77-based SFF motherboards (the DQ77** series is completely out of stock everywhere, and the DZ77** series is ATX only), I have found a couple of Mini-ITX systems based on these two motherboards. Second question: Where ca...

8139 dropping packets
I have a CentOS 5.8 box that is dropping packets (just from ping). The network is 8139 RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ Rev 10 Adding the parameters "pci=noacpi acpi=off " has helped but it still happens. Is there something else that helps the network not drop packets? Thanks, jerry

Intel Atom based Asterisk server?
I currently have some Asterisk home servers on general pc hardware as well as a mission critical server asterisk pbx running on a Dell 2850 To reduce noise and power consumption i would like to migrate them all to an Intel Atom based solution, showstoppers so far were single NIC and single PCI slot motherboards. I found that Supermicro makes a Dual NIC board with one PCI slot and 2

Question about PATCH method, accepts_nested_attributes_for, and updates to association lists (has_many, HABTM)
...39;'d have to specify the list of ids of FlightCrewMembers in the patch request, which could have the unintended result of altering the list of members if one member had really left the plain at the same time (perhaps they are still on the ground and one just left the Airplane to run up the jetway). So, does there need to be new attributes on the Airplane resource that is passed in by the client to indicate whether the membership list of FlightCrewMembers is being altered on Airplane? And instead of just passing in a list of objects that only specify the id of the associated object to u...

Small office setup/using analog lines w/ Asterisk
Hi, We recently tried installing Asterisk for a small office. We figured the safest way to go would be to buy from someone who sold equipment specifically for Asterisk and to use a consultant that they recommended. However ... it didn't turn out so great. Sound quality is terrible -- the echo is pretty bad, and there are popping noises, too. Callers say that people on the Asterisk end
