I''m now trying to do a System Restore. I will try not installing the VBD driver

pine, INBOX, and dovecot
...d the list archives but couldn't spot anything
very relevant.
Pine version is very recent - I updated today to 4.56.
Incidentally, is mbox support still broken in the CVS version? Is there
an expected timescale for the next release, preferably with mbox fixed
again?!
Thanks for any advice.
Jethro.

Direct RADIUS support, not via PAM
...mcs.de/~lf/radius/
Is there any chance that this library could be used by Dovecot as a
further authentication option, and save me having two separate radius
configurations for two different (but related) pieces of software, and the
need to install pam_radius_auth, which I don't otherwise use?
Jethro.

Problem with subfolder permissions
...e.g.:
users: user1
user2
user3
share: "test" with access from user1,2 and 3
Now I want to create a subfolder in "test" e.g. "subtest" but only with
access for user1 and 3 but I'm not able to do that.
Is there a solution for this?
Thank you,

Problems compiling PHP --with-imap - can't find rfc822.h
I'm trying to add webmail (IMP/HORDE) to my OpenBSD 3.5 mail server
(Procmail/Amavid/SA/DCC/Razor/Dovecot 0.99.10.7), which means adding
PHP and several other libraries.
I'm building PHP 4.3 from the ports tree and, as per the IMP/HORDE
readme files, added --with-imap to the makefile. Makeing PHP barfs
with a "Cannot find rfc822.h. Please check your IMAP installation."

Feature request: more log info/stats
Hello,
even though Timo seems to be hibernating (it's not _that_ cold in ole

appreciated over here. If something like this is already present and
eluded my thorough archive and doc searches, feel free to smack me and
then point me to the right direction.

Anyone in -stable who knows more?

I'm assembling a Compaq 1850R with attached storage system. For the

- Several mbox fixes, upgrade recommended for test68 mbox users
- Possibly fixes some IMAP hangs where Dovecot just stopped replying
- Fixed delay-newmail workaround. It was badly broken before.
And somewhat off topic advertisement:

Microsoft Flight Simulator in wine - successes?
the only game I'm really interested in playing that Loki doesn't have
a port for is Microsoft Flight Simulator (any version). Has anybody
had any success with any version of any flight simulator in wine? I
have never tried wine but if I find out that it will do what I want it
to, I'll put forth the time to figure it out.

please help: problems using 'force group' option
hi all,
I have a linux box running redhat 8.0 with samba 2.2.7 into a ms network
I would like to control the access to the shared files, so only allowed groups of users can modify/create files
I use 'force group' option to ensure that created files has the same owner group so all users of that group can modify these files (but not others users not belonging to that group)

Multiple Groups, Different Permissions problem
Hello everyone,
I need to setup some directories (in RHL 7.2 running Samba 2.2.3a w/ W2K
PDC) to allow multiple groups, each of which has different permissions. If
this can be done on the Linux side, this would be preferred, but if it has
to be done in Samba, any help in understanding how to make this happen is
appreciated. I know Windows NT/W2K allows multiple groups and I would think

strip realms and force lowercasing of usernames?
Is it possible for dovecot to strip realms and force lowercasing of usernames?
We have a lot of dumb customers who try logging in to pop3 with crap like
UsERNAmE and bla at nonexistentdomain.com. All our usernames are lowercase
and we have no realms. Trying to get hundreds of customers to fix this is
hard and is a significant and costly support burden.
It would be nice if dovecot could handle
