Anyone successfully using a HP 8000 DN or HP 5 Lsi (with JetDirect module and assigned IP) with samba? Subject says it all. If you're successfully doing this, what configs made it work? ...by turning off the 1.1.1 machine. I wondered if it was some serial thing and recently installed a HP lasetjet on the network through an ethernet card. I added it to the 2.5.1 machine and it all works fine but again cannot be accessed through Samba (although it works fine from a W95 machine running JetAdmin etc). We have a HP Design Jet 650C Plotter which is hooked to the net via a jetdirect nic. Now I dont have a clue on how to use this plotter over the net.
