Scriptaculous blind animation jerky when DIV contains a lot of content
Hi I have set up the following example to illustrates the problem I am having with scriptaculous. http://www.webmaint.com/scriptaculous_demo.html You will notice the animation is very jerky and looks awful in Firefox, and it just about passable in Internet Explorer I presume this is because of the way the browser renders the data in the select boxes. Is there any work around that could create a

...virtual desktops. I am *not* seeing those symptoms with the current issue - looks like FF and plugins container (I wonder if I can eliminate that - not sure it's needed?) is behaving OK. Ended the trade screens applet and tried selection of a region with ksnapshot - same results were a lag and jerkiness. I checked all the open FF windows to see if I had other known hog applets runing but didn't see any. Trying shutting down FF and restarting, which used to provide some temporary relief - like Alka-seltzer. After shutting down FF and before restarting FF, region selection still lagging an...

Is Jspeex still being worked on? Is there somewhere I can send the code changes I've made to facilitate smooth streaming? RELENG_7 jerky mouse and skipping sound
I just updated to RELENG_7 from 6.2 and I'm running into some really annoying issues with jerky mouse movement and skipping sound. This seems to be similar to: Re: SCHED_4BSD in RELENG_7 disturbs workflow This happens both with 4BSD and ULE. I seems to happen when I'm compiling ports and a new cc/bzip2/sh process fires off (I'm just watching top), I'll get the skip/freezeup.

Wobbly jerkyness
About a month ago, David made a commit to wobbly to the spring engine which has introduced some bugs. They are hard to explain so bear with me. In a sense, the wobbly plugin does not seem as smooth as it used to be and the windows jerk all over the place. For example, I sometimes notice that when I move a large window (around 2/3 of the size of the desktop window), If I moved it down, the top of

Songs stopping early on my player
...P they continue to play properly, but from the point where they stop with my player, the position indicator of WMP goes kinda crazy. I found that somehow I ended up with a *really* old version of my player code, where I wasn't actually calling ov_read repeatedly, so fixing that up has fixed the jerkiness. Sorry for wasting ppls time with that one :) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lance Paine" <lbp1@cs.waikato.ac.nz> To: <vorbis@xiph.org> Sent: Monday, July 02, 2001 12:01 AM Subject: [vorbis] Jerkiness in player on some songs > What could be causing my player to sk...

[Bug 69827] New: Uneven, jerky mouse movement, increasing CPU usage
...ncreases. Initially the movement is smooth and even as expected. As the session time increases the movement shows regular pauses (every 1 - 2 seconds) for some fraction of a second, then "catches up" to where it would have been had it not paused. As the session time increases, so does the jerkiness, i.e., the pauses increase in length. This is annoying. It is exaggerated in a VirtualBox VM, guest type os/2, where tje issue is quite pronounced. Given enough time, though, even native apps show the jerkiness. It is related somehow to the build up of CPU usage. Initially the idle time usage...

herky-jerky audio
Just an update, and a follow-up question: I'm making progress on this issue, and will likely have something working very soon, now that I understand how the jspeex transcoding classes work. Unfortunately, I will need to make a couple small changes to the jspeex source code. My question is - is anybody using jspeex for streaming speex-encoded audio? It works great for static audio, but seems

data editor in R- could it be improved?
Hi all, I've used R for basic programming and data management for a few years now. One of the things that I think could be improved is the data editor. Its a great feature and I use it alot by calling edit(data.frame); very useful to see if what you tried to do actually worked. However, one of the annoying things about it is that when you scroll down the window it doesnt show you all the

low latency kernel?
Someone recently posted on the x2go list that he had a problem with jerky videos playing remotely on Ubuntu, but solved it by installing a low latency kernel that was available as an alternative. That made me curious as to whether CentOS has an equivalent - or a way to build something similar. -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell at gmail.com
