thoroughness), but I sincerely want to convey what I have done, step
by step, in order to simplify this as much as possible:
Yum reports this as my samba version :

[root@jefferson samba]# mkdir /samba
[root@jefferson samba]# chmod 777 /samba
[root@jefferson samba]# chown osc:osc /samba
"osc" is a local account, so I set the local password and the smb

Is it correct ?
I also tried to make my self compilation and apply

Someone could help me on this?

[PATCH] Requiring multiple auth mechanisms (updated)
Jefferson Ogata's patch
http://marc.info/?l=openssh-unix-dev&m=108134938701018&w=2 adds a
multiple authentication methods option to sshd. I updated the patch to
4.7p1 and added logic to allow it to work with privilege separation.

Having issues with not being able to bind with my openldap server...
Do I need to install openldap client tools and get the box set up to use it first?

Losing Packets after a DNAT in prerouting

interface. I have tried putting LOG rules into the FORWARD chain with no
success. I''m pretty sure the packet isn''t hitting a DROP rule as all my DROP
rules have a LOG rule directly in front of them. Any idea how to track down
the missing packets?

Connection caching?
Hey all,
on the distcc mailing list, a thread about load balancing
got a bit out of hand, and we started thinking about
moving fsh-like connection caching into ssh itself
to get rid of the overhead of starting up the python
interpreter to run rsh.
(Interestingly, mit's "rex", described at
http://www.lcs.mit.edu/publications/pubs/pdf/MIT-LCS-TR-884.pdf,

migrating from samba3+openldap+autofs to samba4 AD DC?

Much of what I've found so far is pretty vague. Also if moving to AD DC model, strategies for syncing with OpenLDAP... (Not to stir up old wounds, but the idea of multiple credential sources makes me very ill)
Thanks,
