Digium Hardware Question from Newbie
Hello folks, I'm very interested in the Digium/Asterisk combination but need some clarification. I would like to setup a SOHO for business and home use. Scenario One: I have one analog line, 4 analog telephones. Do I need a TDM400P + 4 FXS modules (Green) + X100P? Scenario Two: 2 analog lines, 1 selective ring number for fax, 8 analog phones. Is this what I need? 2 TDM400Ps and 8 FXS

Phone recommendations
Hello folks, I'm a linux guy looking to get into asterisk for my customers. To do this, I want to setup * for my home and business. I've been following the list for a while now and narrowed down my phone choice to Cisco. I could buy more cisco ip phones if I get the lower end 7902,5,10, etc. Am I nuts to not get a SIP enabled phone like the 7940s and up? Will using an older protocol

Possibly bad FXS module in TDM400P?
I've got the latest zaptel and cvs asterisk software loaded on my phone server running FC3. And yes, It's fully updated and udev is setup correctly. I've got a TDM400P with one FXS and one FXO module installed. When I load zaptel and wctdm and run ztcfg -vvv, I get this: [root@asterisk ~]# ztcfg -vvv ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 1: No such device or address (6) Zaptel

RC2 zaptel compile problem
...d eventual abort during compile. Could someone point me in the right direction? I do a yum update every day and I'm using the CVS from 9/14/04. I'm also using an ASUS CUSL2 system board. Here's the end of the error, although I don't think it's useful. -Jeff Borders (jeffATjeffbordersDOTcom) /usr/src/zaptel/zaptel.c:6203: warning: excess elements in struct initializer /usr/src/zaptel/zaptel.c:6203: warning: (near initialization for `zt_fops') /usr/src/zaptel/zaptel.c:6204: error: unknown field `flush' specified in initializer /usr/src/zaptel/zaptel.c:6204: warning:...
