ok.. found the problem. The config file had pae=0. Hi I have been using pygrub for most of the needs. Was trying out some stuff on SLES 10 SP1. It seems that it does not have pygrub!! On the other hand,they have domUloader.py which requires bootargs="--entry=hda:/boot/vmlinuz...., path to ramdisk. It is quite strange to be asking for the path of the kernel and the ramdisk to be supplied in the conf file!!. Am I missing something

Hi Trying to get WinXP HVM to install as domU on AMD. Got latest Xen Kernel and Xen package (NOT unstable or debug). When start, a window pops up for few seconds.. then it dies and another one comes up... and it disappears too. (Xen is trying to restart and giving up because the restart happens in 2 seconds..) It seems DomU is not able to read/understand something from Cirrus VGABIOS.

hi I am trying to do an installation of 64 bit HVM from a CDROM, the Dom0 is 64 bit. I am getting "pae not supported" !! (as a side note, failure on RHEL 5.2 is different 'long not supported on your cpu, use a 32-bit version' .. cpu is 64 bit AMD and so is Dom0) Do I need to tweak anything ? Thanks /Jd

Hi Is there anyway to get the IP address of the DomU through xml-rpc ? OR any other means ? Also, I tried using the ''IP'' directive and ''extra'' param to specify IP for a domU. But it still seems to use the dhcp. Can anyone throw bit light on how this works (are these passed as kernel args) ? or have a working example of setting ip / gateway/ netmask

Hi Is there a doc/wiki page which explains, the kind of domu images/appliances/kernels can be run with what type of dom0 kernels(xen_caps). For example : -- Can a 32 bit, non-PAE domU run on 64 bit, PAE dom 0 in PV mode ? (or HVM mode ?) Are there any checks that can be done before doing the migration ? Is there any programmatic way (from python) to find out if the kernel in a domU disk
