Basic gluster questions
...troubleshoot/tune this would be
appreciated, especially any "intro for dummies" type docs that could
fill in the big gaps in my understanding of how gluster works. I'm
open to an RTFM reply, just haven't found the right manual yet myself
and would appreciate a pointer :)

avoid error within for loop, try, trycatch, while, move to next iteration, unlist
...ll cause a crash and stop the whole procedure, what I want is to simply move on to the next iteration automatically and discard the "bad" repetitions from my results. I used the "try" function to do this and it partially works.
Here is the thing:

SIGPIPE in assorted apps after "yum update"
...cidental though, I haven't repeated it enough
yet to be certain.
Any hints or suggestions would be appreciated. Unfortunately I noticed
this after deciding it was "safe" to update *all* my machines and so
I'm suffering through a lot of rebuilds/restores because of this.

broken apt in kubuntu 8.04?
Hiya,
I'm running wine 0.9.61 on kubuntu 8.04. I've added the wine binary
repositories to my package manager. before i could always update without
problem. Now when i look for new packages it shows rc1, but as an
uninstalled package, thus the package manager no longer shows the installed
0.9.61. Don't know if this is a problem with the wine repository or kubuntu.
