rpc command function failed! (NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED) trying to grant privileges - 3.0.23a
Greetings,
I am in the process of testing Samba 3.0.23a with our own passdb
plugin. As part of mytesting I am trying to join the domin so here are
the steps I take...
1 - get local sid
/usr/local/samba/bin/net getlocalsid
SID for domain JAZZY is: S-1-5-21-1016995387-3159270912-1426853295
2 - create group mappings
[paulg@jazzy ~]$ /usr/local/samba/bin/net groupmap list
Domain Users (S-1-5-21-1016995387-3159270912-1426853295-513) -> users
Domain Admins (S-1-5-21-1016995387-3159270912-1426853295-512) -> tech
Domain Guests (S-1-5-21-...

troubleshooting a custom passdb module
...gt;delete_sam_account = pdb_udb_delete_sam_account;
(*pdb_method)->rid_algorithm = pdb_udb_rid_algorithm;
pdb_udb_rid_algorithm just returns true like pdb_smbpasswd.c and
pdb_udb_getsampwsid returns NT_STATUS_NOT_IMPLEMENTED.
Any tips or ideas out there?
Here is the error message..
net -S JAZZY rpc rights grant 'JAZZY\tech' SeMachineAccountPrivilege
Password:
Failed to grant privileges for JAZZY\tech (NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED)
I use pdb_smbpasswd.c for idea, since our UDB and pdb_smbpasswd.c are
basically doing the same thing, just one is file based and the other
is network base...

image replacement (new Effect.*****) problem
Here''s what I''m trying to do. I have two divs, one holds about 20 small
images of products and the other holds a single large image of one of
the products. I''m trying to use the jazzy "new Effect." way of changing
images but I can''t seem to get it too work. My script is replacing the
image and then making the element disappear. What I''m trying to do is
have one image fade away and then have a new one fade in. Here is my

Fragment cache creates folder for each URL.
I''ve got a site that uses fragment cache stored in tmp/cache.
When you access it as http://www.site.com it creates a folder
tmp/cache/www.site.com.
Likewise, when you access it http://site.com it creates af older
tmp/cache/site.com
I believe it does the same with sessions, though I store those in the
DB. How do I go about fixing this? Can i redirect using .htaccess or
Webmin?

Problem getting "extract" from RDig
Hi All,
I have to have a site wide search for my current application. By search
I mean I have to search the static and the dynamic contents from the
database. I have been searching on this for a while on the net and RDig
seems to be a apt solution. While using it I have encountered a few
problems. I know these might be very basic issues but I have not been
able to figure out what is wrong with

...ry to compile the same example that comes with Samba v3.0.24, the
example code compiles without any issues?
Any pointers?
I am running Centos v4.4 & gcc v3.4.6.
If add ' source/tdb/include' to my compile to pickup tdb.h, even more
errors! :(
Thanks

Rails fragment caching bug?
<% cache(:part => @user.id) do%> in the file controller => users, action
=> show.
Regardless if you put the action so it ends up as <% cache(:action =>
''show'', :part => @user.id) do%> or the controller, the file will come
out in "tmp>cache>`SERVER`>users>show>1.part=userid#.cache . Which is
fine except for the 1 in the cache
