Subfolders problem
I have moved from dovecot 1.x to 2.x and I have big problem with
subfolders.
When I'm moving subfolder with other subfolders is moving only main
subfolder, without subfolders, example :
mail-storage-1 /var/vmail/home/adamskitest/mdbox/mailboxes # find | egrep
-e "janusz|jarek"
./jarek
./jarek/dbox-Mails
./jarek/dbox-Mails/dovecot.index.log

Solaris 2.9
I've compiled the 1.8.0 R on Solaris 2.9 and when trying to use
plot command I get the Bus error and a core dump. Anybody experienced
something like this? If yes, what should I patch?

Package for variable clustering
Dear R users:
is there a package, similar to varclus in SAS or varclus in S, ported or
written for R? Also, is there any other package in R that was designed
for
grouping the variables under different measures of distance (in cases
where data is non-Gaussian, autocorrelated, and so on).

Winbindd breaks after first unsuccessfull authentication

Stopping the Winbind daemon: winbind.
Starting the Winbind daemon: winbind.

challenge/response password authentication succeeded
The same happens using ntlm_auth.
Any ideas?

fast code
Hello,
I have two vectors x1 and x2 both in increasing order.
I want to select the x1[j]th entry which is the max min of the x2[i]th
entry. I can do this using if and for statements but is there a quick way
to do it without running a loop?
Thank you in advance,
Pantelis

NFS resources, how to check version
...and doesn't give ticket for nfs/nfsserver.
So, I guess if -sec=krb5 is not available, it mounts with -sec=sys, right?
With -sec=krb5:krb5i:krb5p in /etc/exports it doesn't mount.
I am wondering if you force -o nfsv4, it wouldn't mount it like nfsv3.
Happy Valentines!

Goodness-of-fit
Hi,
I want to perform goodness of fit test for multinominal distribution. The
easiest way would be to use Chi2, but the measurment errors are not
normally distributed. I thought about using some bootstraping method to
perform the analysis. How can I do it in R?

popa3d migration problem
...ssion was disconnected immediately each time after sucessful
authentication..
I tried to set up pop3_uidl_format to MD5 (%m) but it didn't work...
Let me ask if there is a possibility to migrate from popa3d to dovecot
(by using a proper patch maybe?)?
I'd thankful for any response...

However, with IOAPIC disabled, some important devices, like network

The problem is smimiliar to the one I have

Index(?) problem under OpenBSD
Hi,
My apologies if this has been mentioned before, I haven't pulled up a
google search yet. I run Dovecot from the package under OpenBSD 3.6
(dovecot-0.99.10.8).
The problem I have is that occasionally dovecot corrupts an index file
(I think), which causes the process to gradually creep up in usage,
until it hits 99%, where it stays, without quitting. If I then fire up
my mail client

Why are looping variables not local?
Hello,
I've had a quick look on the list and can't find an answer to this niggle.
Whilst debugging some code, I noticed that looping variables in R are not
local to the loop as seams common in procedural languages.
For example consider the following piece of code:
for(i in 1:3){
cat(i,"")
for(i in c("a","b","c")){
cat(i,"")

mixture distributions
Dear List,
I am looking for a possibility to fit a mixture model under R using
maximum likelihood estimation.
Venables and Ripley describe a solution working under S+ (in MASS, 3. ed.,
p. 263) which requires the D system function and deriv3. This solution does not
seem to be portable to R or at least I do not realise how.
Is there anyone who
a) knows how one could make the MASS-method run under

Bug or undesired behavior when quota exceeded
Hi,
I have just noticed an undesired behavior when using rsync when disk
quota is exceeded. I do not know how to avoid it (or maybe it can be
considered as a bug).
The following is a scenario that leads to the undesired behavior:
1) I normally execute two following commands to synchronize folders
between a local host and a remote host:
rsync -aCPvu --existing <dir1>
