rsync daemon on win2k problem
...win1.3.9/rsync2.5.2 (and with various patches, principally those aimed at the "winsock sends RST..." problem) the result is the same. To simplify things I put the server (daemon) and client on the same machine, that is, from the bash command line running: $ rsync --config='d:\home\jamesm\tmp\rsync\rsyncd.conf' --daemon where the referenced rsyncd.conf file (which has LF-terminated lines) contains: use chroot = false strict modes = false hosts allow = * motd file = /cygdrive/d/home/jamesm/tmp/rsync/rsync.motd [d] path = /cygdrive/d comment = D: drive on catbox...

Samba messing with PJL to printer
...at in both cases the data is going over the network]. I fear it might have something to do with CR/LF processing. Printing from Unix apps on the same box is okay, but they don't send the PJL header anyway. Does anyone know how I can make this work from Samba. Thanks. -- James Macnicol jamesm@faceng.anu.edu.au

Queue and SetGroup
I manage the PBX system for a medium sized call center. Where all calls are distributed via a few call Queues. However I am having an issue where reps are being distributed calls regardless of wether they are on a call. I have looked into using SetGroup but I don't think this works with Call Queues. I have also looked into incomingcalllimit and that seems to no longer work. Any sugestions?

xen and reiserfs
...ting root and I get this error: md: ... autorun DONE. Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(3,66) <0>Rebooting in 1 seconds.. This is a reiserfs /dev/hdb2 - does this xen kernel support reiserfs ? Or is my config file wrong ? Thanks !! Echo for first 15 to 20 seconds
I am using asterisk with a handful of DM04B cards. Everything seems fine except for an echo on all calls on the local end of the call. In almost all cases the echo goes away after 15 to 20 seconds. I am attributing the echo going away to the echo cancellation code that was enabled when the following options are set: echocancel=yes ; echocancelwhenbridged=yes echotraining=yes ; Is there anyway

Multi ADS Auth servers in 1 smb.conf
Hello All: I would love to RTFM on multiple ADS servers being configured for ADS sercurity, but I can't find anything. Specifically: I have 2 ADS servers at 1 site. I have 4 SAMBA file servers at said site. If ADS server 1 goes down -- It will not cascade to ADS Server 2. How can I set that up? I have seen when using "security = server" multiple server names listed, but have

AutoCad and ArcView
Hello all, Just curious if anyone else has a SAMBA server that is serving up AutoCad and ArcView files to users on Windows. We are utilizing a RAID 5 setup on dual 2.8 GHZ 4 GB RAM Intel Controller card (all latest firmware, BIOS etc...etc..) Only 4 users are accessing the server, but it seems after a few days the server starts to choke up, lock files, and it causes a hardware issue. (We
