occasional glitching when playing
Hello list I'm running Icecast 2.3.2. Every few seconds, streams are interrupted by a noticeable glitching or popping sound. It sounds like it's being caused by a buffering or latency problem but I'm not sure how to fix it. If the listener re-connects to the stream it stops the glitching for a few minutes, but eventually it returns. Glitching is also appearing in the dumpfiles

creating a station with internet explorer
Hey all, I didn't really get an answer to what I will need in order to create my internet station. I have a machine with Windows 7 that has Edcast installed on it, and I'd like to run the server from that machine. It has internet explorer 8, if that makes a difference. What software do I need to download to get broadcasting?

How to create a list of usernames and passwords request?
How I can create a list of usernames and passwords to restrict users to connect to listen to the broadcast? What I mean is that I do not want my transmission to be listened just by anyone. I want that for they can listen to the transmission they need to enter a user name and a password. Regards -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Generic RAID question
...wish to stripe over, will the OS try and work around this by say only using as much space as is available on the smallest drive or is there anyway it will use all of both drives? Adding SAMBA users in Centos 5.5
I have SAMBA working on Centos 5.5 - I can see and access my "home" directory from a Windows machine. I have created a new folder to share, changed the owner and group to my username and chcon -t samba_share_t to allow SELinux to share the folder. I can see this folder from Windows but not access it's contents. I think that the key reason is that there is no user assigned to the

Replacing disk in RAID array with bigger disk?
I have to replace a disk in a RAID-1 array (LSI 1068 controller in an HP DL320 G3) and I assume it shouldn't be a problem if I use a bigger one? (going from 500 MB to 1 GB) The controller should just be able to build the same 500 MB disk as it did before, right? Now, if in a next step I replace the other, still smaller disk with a 1 GB disk, too, will the controller be able to build a 1

EXT4 mount issue
Hi All, When a couple of EXT4 filesystems are mounted in a server I get the message Oct 1 18:49:42 sraid3 kernel: EXT4-fs (sdb): mounted filesystem without journal Oct 1 18:49:42 sraid3 kernel: EXT4-fs (sdc): mounted filesystem without journal in the system logs. My confusion is why are they mounted without a journal? They were both created with mkfs -t ext4 /dev/sdb mkfs -t ext4
