Thank you for the debugging tip, is this useful?

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] Compiling Multiple Files
James,
Thanks. It wouldn't take the LTO option; however, I can get it to inline
using -cppgen=inline.
However, when I run clang the second time it gives me an error, stating
that it expects a top level entity. I think I've run into this issue
before. Any ideas?

Stubbing Model.new w/ block?
...I do:
Receipt.stub!(:new).and_yield(@receipt)
Then @receipt in my model will be set to the return value of the block.
I also tried something along the lines of:
Receipt.stub!(:new) do
yield @receipt
@receipt
end
but got some weird no block error.
Help? Am I going about this all wrong?

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] Compiling Multiple Files
James,
Sure. I want to inline functions in a C program that has no external
node, or "main". So the "top" function is not main and there does not exist
a main in the file.
Thanks.

mean for subset
Hello, does anyone know how to take the mean for a subset of observations?
For example, suppose my data looks like this:
OBS NAME SCORE
1 Tom 92
2 Tom 88
3 Tom 56
4 James 85
5 James 75
6 James 32
7 Dawn 56
8 Dawn 91
9 Clara 95
10 Clara 84
Is there a way to get the mean of the SCORE variable by NAME but only when
the number of observations is equal to 3? In other words, is there a way to

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] Compiling Multiple Files
...as you normally would with -O3 for maximum inlining
(2) Run 'llc' manually with -O3 and LTO, which will do the maximum link time optimisations.
(3) Run 'opt' manually with -O3, LTO which will produce another bitcode file, which you can then again give to Clang to codegen.
Cheers,
James

[rspec-devel] rspec_on_rails (trunk - r3070) works with Rails 2.0.1
...d is in a lib file that isn''t directly loaded into the specs. It
is a convenience method: def test?; RAILS_ENV=="test";end
I don''t know why this method is being included in my tests, every
context has it as an example. Any ideas?

GPLPV drivers suspected to hinder live migration to different CPU type
Hi,
I''ve noticed that on a Xen cluster with three nodes (two E5620 CPUs and
one E5140 CPU) live migration works perfectly in between to two E5620
nodes, but fails to and from the E5140. The error message is about a HVM
context not being able to be set.
I strongly suspect the use 238 GPPVL drivers, but I cannot uninstall
them at this point because someone else needs the server.

Name mangling bug: was samba bug?
Hi James,
this sounds familiar - I believe I looked at a wire trace,
and windows is dropping the trailing dots BEFORE it sends the
request over the wire. so samba never sees the name foo..., thus
does not create it.

Windows pre-requisites for login with winbind?
I have krb5-config krb5-user, but not libpam-krb5... I'm slightly fuzzy about how this works, but I thought the interaction with kerberos was implemented via winbind, so I wasn't expecting this package to be installed... certainly there is no dependency that has pulled it in.

Listing AD group members
Hi,
Ive been trying to work out how to get wbinfo to list members of a specific
AD group, rather than list groups a specific user is in.
So far I have had no luck... In fact im not sure its possible with wbinfo.
Is there another tool which could do this?

[LLVMdev] Code Owner for OpenMP (runtime)
We have noticed that although we have active development in the OpenMP runtime, there is no formal code-owner.
I would therefore like to nominate Andrey Churbanov who is a major committer and has deep experience with the runtime code since before it was the LLVM runtime.

Ryan Bates' Multi-object Forms and the date_select
...ected an instance of
Hash but found
an instance of Array. This can be caused by colliding Array and Hash
parameters like
qs[]=value&qs[key]=value.
------
The problem appears to be that Rails doesn''t know to put the date-
select information into an Array.
Can anyone else verify this?
