flashing bios & memdisk
....
i've found i amiflash that works with protected
mode and with this i can flash the bios. [with memdisk]
but: is it also possible to use memdisk only in
real mode?
because: maybe sometimes i will need a newer flash-
tool, and there is maybe no support for protected
mode again!
bye, johannes (jaf)

AW: SYSLINUX 3.08-pre10, including "bigraw" support
...n starting flashing the program freeze.
awdflash 8.27.45 never worked before so i think this
was a great work, thx.
i'll contact the programmer of freedos. maybe he can
write a workaround for this problem. i'll write it
to this mailing list if i know something new for you.
bye, johannes (jaf)

My experience using -DLLVM_BUILD_INSTRUMENTED_COVERAGE to generate coverage
I had an old build of llc with FE instrumentation, the name section size is
about 5MB. Using coverage is likely to cause the name section to be larger
as there are more references to dead/unused function names.
What do you see when
readelf --string-dump=__llvm_prf_names llc

Possible feature request: sync_on_close mode for scp/sftp uploads
Hi all,
First, my apologies if this is not the right forum for this... if there is a more appropriate place to make OpenSSH feature requests, or if this feature already exists, please let me know.
Some background: My company makes an 'embedded' audio server box that runs Debian Linux, and one of the product's features is that users can upload files to the server via SSH, using their

Enabling filenames with ?, *, etc ?
Hi all,
I know it's not an encouraged practice, but is there some secret setting I can
put in my smb.conf file so that smbd will allow the user to have asterisks,
question marks, etc in his file names? My server is used in an environment
where all the client OS's are fairly modern (SUSE Linux 10.x, MacOS/X 10.4.x,
and Windows XP only), so backwards compatibility with legacy OS's
