TRADUCING lmer() syntax into lme()
...to lme, as
suggested from some web example
mod1<-lmer(y~x*z+(x*z|factorA1/factorB)+(x*z|factorA2/factorB)) # y,x,z
continuous
mod2<-lme(y~x*z, random= pdBlocked(list(pdIdent(~1|factorA1/factorB
),pdIdent(~1|factorA2/factorB))))
In detail check how I've tried to state in mod1 that Iwant to evaluate
randomness in the interaction x*z (i.e intercept, slope, interaction)
grouped by by a general nesting structure that sets factorA1 and factorA2 as
same level effects (hence non nested) and factorB as nested in both.
I also must express my momentaneous sheer ignorange on the pdMat objec...

LLD to be the default linker in Clang
...also
perfectly reasonable to have GCC using LD and Clang using LLD on the
same system. Today, that's not possible without changing the path for
Clang and not GCC (cumbersome, to say the least).
The environment above is *exactly* that of any buildbot trying to
bootstrap Clang+LLD using GCC+LD. Iwant to have at least one for
AArch64 and one for ARM, but it would be good to have the same thing
for x86_64, too at the very least.
I don't know much about FreeBSD, but they're moving LLD as the
official linker in multiple platforms and they still have GCC/LD in
ports. There will probably be...

Combining Density plots
Hello,
What I am trying to do is:
Generate a density plot of a population of data. This data has a bimodal
distribution so I've isolated a couple of possible sub-populations and I
want to overlay these two density plots over the first to see whether they
are contributing to the bimodal population.
I can do this fine with plot(density(...)) and lines(density(...)) . But
the resulting plots

Can levelplot colorkeys display a logarithmic scale evenly?
I'm using the {lattice} "levelplot" function to make a (more or less) 2-d
histogram, and for the most part it's working fine with my data. However, I
can't get the color key to do what I need. I can give it labels and custom
cutoffs, but my cutoff lines (and hence my labels) aren't evenly spaced, instead
they're more-or-less logarithmic, starting at

Neverwinter Nights thru Wine
Hi all,
Installed NWN and it plays kind of choppy with no sound. I then wanted to
uninstall it but it keeps giving me a 0x800000 something or other fault.
it seems to have brought all the gibbly goop from windoze with it. How
can I uninstall it? I can't even find where it installed to so I can
manually get rid of it.
TIA,
Chuz
