I tried to find the specific SMPTE/ITU-R
recommendation on channel order. I found a
reference to "ITU-R BR.138", but this is not
available from the ITU-R Recommendations
website. Does anybody have...

Nuvox PRI - CCITT (ITU??) vs. ANSI
All,
Having problems terminating to a Nuvox PRI, the tech at Nuvox is
saying Asterisk is transmitting in CCITT (aka ITU?) when they're
expecting (and will only accept) ANSI. The question is, is there a
simple way to change this or am I stuck with rewriting code? I googled
and checked the mailing list and found nothing, I could be barking up
the wrong tree I guess. PRI is not my forte.
Thanks, Matt

Your proposed wording was:
0000-0111 : (number of independent channels)-1. The channel order
follows SMPTE/ITU-R recommendations. The assignments are as follows:
The channel order might not follow SMPTE/ITU-R
recommendations, so this proposed wording
seems misleading to me.

Disagreements between codec_siren14 and Polycom sources
There appears to be a disagreement between the encoding given in the
sources for Siren14 that are downloaded from Polycom (and the ITU, both
are the same) and that implemented by codec_siren14.so. The latter
agrees with the actual device.
If I make a .sln32 file and run the encoder from ITU/Polycom with
encode 0 foo.sln32 foo.siren14 48000 14000
the resulting file doesn't play back correctly with the Digium's siren14...

Are the ITU's stretched-to-wideband codecs being used?
Hi,
The ITU has been churning out a series of codecs which stretch older
codecs to support wideband or super wideband and stereo. Does anyone
know of these things being used in the real world? They push the idea of
these things offering high compatibility, as the narrowband bitstream is
embedded in the wid...

Open ITU G.107 Implementation to measure voice quality
Hi,
Does anybody know where I can find any open source ITU G.107 implementation
available? I'm looking a way to measure the voice quality in my projects..
Thanks in Advanced,
My Best Regards,

RTP timestamps
Hi All,
Could somebody explain me how the timestamps are computed in asterisk
while bridging two sip channels ?
I've got situation with my provider, who changed some things in config
and added some codecs (that much i know) and after that we got one way
audio issues. It seems that the problem is with RTP timestamps. Within
one outgoing stream the RTP timestamps are growing, as it should be, but
sometimes while the ast...

Long equation in documentation
I have a long equation that I need to break in the R documentation of a package or it trails off the right hand side of the page. Here's the formula:
\deqn{Cov(r_{ist}, r_{iuv})= [.5\rho_{ist}\rho_{iuv}(\rho_{isu}^2 + \rho_{isv}^2 + \rho_{itu}^2 + \rho_{itv}^2) + \rho_{isu}\rho_{itv}+ \rho_{isv}\rho_{itu}-(\rho_{ist}\rho_{isu}\rho_{isv} + \rho_{its}\rho_{itu}\rho_{itv}) + \rho_{ius}\rho_{iut}\rho_{iuv} + \rho_{ivs}\rho_{ivt}\rho_{ivu}]/n_i}
How can I break the formula and optionally indent the second lower piece; though I'd settl...

No Static Payload Type
...he draft goes into more detail as to why this decision was taken.
<p>This was expected, but several people wanted us to ask. We did,
they said no. So, we have to continue to define the out-of-band
means to agree upon a codec, as we have been doing.
There are discussions happening with the ITU (spearheaded by
Roger Hardiman and the folks at Equivalence, who do the OpenH323
Project) regarding an agreed upon means in ITU-T recommendations
H.323/H.245 to negotiate payload mappings. Roger has asked that
we wait to update our draft profile until we get some answers
back from the ITU. This i...

Alphanumerical digits
Sorry Martin to bother you again!
I have an ISDN flux with 100 numbers. The local PSTN is sending now the
DNIS/DID (so they said!!!) (I have set the immediate=no in zapata.conf)
but I have the same problem as before :
NOTE : the number is alphanumeric-DID alphanumeric (I will make tests
with numeric mumber!).
