Help with Data Transformation
Greetings,
I am new to R and am having trouble with parsing a file with the following characteristics:
* Individual results for a single sample are written to multiple lines.
* First 16 columns are constant from sample to sample.
* Remaining 10 need to be matched up (cross-tabbed?)
o (the exact contents for the remaining 10 vary from sample to sample, as indicated in

Placing Text on ggplot2 graphics vs. xyplot
Greetings to the help mailing list.
I am in the process of translating a large graphic from xyplot to ggplot2 (13 columns by about rows).
I have been unsuccessful trying to understand how to place the following text strings after three days of:
* Perusing Wickham's "gg2plot" book;
* Searching his site for gg2plot and qplot;
* Reviewing the "man pages" for gg2plot;

XYPlot Conditioning Variable in Specific, Non-Alphanumeric Order. -- Resending with corrected .txt file
Due to an error on my part, I have renamed the previously attached file from
T_5-04b_LTC-SE-SO-Compared.csv to
T_5-04b_LTC-SE-SO-Compared.txt.
It remains a comma-delimited file so the extension can be changed and used per the script, or loaded separately.
My sincere apologies,
Guy

XYPlot Conditioning Variable in Specific, Non-Alphanumeric Order.
# I need to create an xyplot() where I control the specific order of
# both my conditioning variables. The default code below plots the
# data correctly (dispersed across all 14 columns), but fails in two
# ways. Both the primary conditioning variable (Transect), and the
# secondary conditioning variable (Offset) are in alphanumeric order,
# rather than the specific order I need.

irregular ts plot?
hi guys: sorry, one more. I have irregularly spaced time series, often
with big gaps. a good analogy is:
tsvec <- ts(c(1,NA,2,NA,1, NA, 2),freq=12, start=c(1965,12))
Unfortunately, plot( tsvec ) does not plot the data. is it possible to
convince plot to just ignore the NA items (either with points or lines)
help appreciated.

TINC - sometimes working a bit
Hello everyone!
I'm trying to get tinc running, but couldn't make it until now...
My current situation is: all tincs are connected, but there ist (almost) no traffic: Only two PCs are able to ping to another, but not to itself.
Let me explain, what I'm planning to do:
I've got four networks:
PROM: 10.69.0.0/16
PAN: 192.168.30.0/24 (I'm afraid, I can't change PAN to

Rails 1.2: Release Candidate 2
This is it. We''re a mere two shakes of a lamb''s tail from releasing
the final version of Rails 1.2. But before we light the fireworks and
pop the champaign, we''ll just do one itsy, bitsy, tiny test run. Like
wearing protection glasses in downtown Copenhagen on New Year''s. You
know, just for precautions.
So please do give it a good run. We''re looking for STOP THE BOAT and
HOLD THE PRESSES kind of issues for this one. Nothing else will stop it
(but please do...

rsync: read error: Connection reset by peer
Hi there;
Although I have seen a few people had the same problem but can't figure out
eventually what they have done to resolve it! This is why I ask this again.
I have configured rsync to be run as a daemon server and run the following
command line. What could be wrong that I get this error: [I have no problem
with the reverse function, I mean if we call this one as 'put' I can
