issue_discards in lvm.conf
...p computer (this one) I would have a ssd installed in it to use for the boot drive. Now that Centos 7 is on the horizon, I'm thinking that the time is approaching when I'll want to do that.
The last time I set up a computer with a ssd in it, that was the only drive that it had. I changed issue_discards=0 to issue_discards=1 into the /etc/lvm/lvm.conf file, set up cron to run fstrim on that drive on a weekly basis, and that was it.
Since this next setup will have both a ssd and a regular hard drive in it, is there some way that I should specify that issue_discards=1 applies only to the ssd or do...

Convert from LVM
I have a Centos 7 install using EXT4 on LVM. Its running as a VM
inside KVM. Issue I have run into is that fstrim does not work due to
the LVM. Without fstrim snapshots have gotten huge. Is there a way
convert it from LVM to non-LVM without a complete reinstall?

how to add mount options for root filesystem inside lxc container
...esystem>
Now we start use ssd disk and think how to provide additional options
for mount root FS in container: "discard" and "nobarrier" options for
XFS.
All level below XFS configured for support trim command ("options
raid0 devices_discard_performance=Y" and "issue_discards = 1")
I try set options inside container in /etc/fstab, it's not worked:
/dev/root / rootfs discard,nobarrier,defaults 0 0
or
/dev/root / rootfs discard,nobarrier 0 0
or
/dev/root / rootfs remount,discard,nobarrier,defaults
0...

please consider to enable trim over LVM. You have just to set
issue_discards = 1
in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf.
