bge drivers does not work for 3COM 3C996-SX / 3C996B-T
...avy pings crash the 4.8 machine. Similarly
changing the interface configuration with ifconfig tends to crash the
4.8 machine (mtu, link0, up/down, etc). The behaviour is somewhat hard
to diagnose, since there's no panic - just a hard lock.
The 4.8-R machine:

FreeBSD port of Dovecot
Hello. I am trying to install Dovecot 0.99.10.9 on a
FreeBSD 4.10 system from the ports collection (latest via
cvsup). When running make, I get the message:
dovecot-0.99.10.9 Currently incompatible with
security/gnutls
This is in contrast to the Dovecot web page which states
that it does support GNUtls and OpenSSL.
I am not really interested in gnutls/openssl support at
this time. Is

Small deliver bug
Setting "mail_location=maildir:~/Maildir:INDEX=~/index:CONTROL=~/control"
(or separating INDEX and CONTROL in general) along with
"quota=maildir" (and or having a ~/.dovecot.sieve) appears to expose a
small bug in deliver (version 1.1.3, but probably all). While deliver
will create a missing INDEX directory, it throws an error if the
CONTROL directory is missing, exiting with

imap-login zombies
Running dovecot-0.99.13 on Solaris9/Sparc with ~25k users, we are having
regularly recurring problems with large numbers imap-login/pop3-login
drones, cycling on poll().
Over the course of 1-2 days, the number of such processes slowly rises
to >1000, exhausts resources, and necessitates that dovecot be restarted
(having killed all current active and zombie child processes).
