Info on UK ISDN30e?
...ware upgrade costs). So I've stepped forth as the Open Source Pedant and suggested Asterisk so we can do all our own CallerID / call logging / analyses, and make use of IP Phones / teleworking, etc. The problem begins in that I only have a very loose grasp of the telco world. Has anyone used ISDN30e in the UK with the Digium E1 cards? What options are there to stick on a couple of ISDN2's on top of that should we require some 'backup lines'. Do BT terminate the ISDN30e in a format that I can literally just plug into the Digium cards, or will I need some kind of adapter (whether e...

Extending Avaya IP Office ISDN30e with Asterisk

Incoming and Outgoing zaptel configuration : ISDN30e
We are trying to configure a Sangoma A101 card to allow both incoming and outgoing calls on a UK (BT) ISDN30e line with only 24 channels enabled. At present incoming calls work fine. We can't call out -- we get a BUSY/CONGESTED error. Do we need another context in our zapata.conf? In other words, do we need to reserve, say, channels 17-24 for outgoing calls? I also wonder if the signalling type for...

ISDN30 and TDM400P + FAXing ...

I only need a single port and it'll >> be servicing 15 incoming lines on the ISDN30 it'll be connected to) Works perfectly* for me in the UK as described with 2 DDI's going to 2 ports on a TDM400P from the digium TE110P card which also works fine. No echo, no problem with faxes. We use SNOM 190/300/320 phones for voice. *worked immediately on setup at client site and hav...

No audio on ISDN PRI calls
Hello, I have a Sangoma A101 connected to an ISDN30 (E1 in the UK) with some Snom 300 and Idefisk softphones. I can do SIP and IAX2 calls just fine, however I cant get any audio in either direction on the Zap channels. When I call in or dial out over the ISDN30 (UK E1) I can see the call answered/placed on the CLI and then silence follows. I've...

UK BT ISDN30 settings?
Hello, I'm trying to connect a Digium Wildcard TE110P T1/E1 Card to a 10 channel BT ISDN 30 box, however I'm fairly new to Asterisk and this is the first time I've set-up a telephony interface card can anyone give me some pointers or known working configurations? I'm running Asterisk 1.6 and Dahdi 2.4.1.1. Thanks, Tanuki -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

Haven't got a clue ...
On how to even search for this "feature" as I have no idea on what it can be. I've got a meridian linked to * (by EuroISDN) which is linked to a ISDN30. I can make calls from the meridian, and receive calls into the meridian. Great stuff. However, if someone dials an invalid number, then instead of hearing a "three tone", the line just drops and goes dead. The console does not really give any clues (verbose as verbose can be). I've...

RDNIS and asterisk
I have a couple of numbers that are diverted to a number that is conected to an isdn30 card, running asterisk 1.4. eg. 123456 => 22334455 654321 => 22334455 What I would like to know is the number of the orginal number dialled (123456 or 654321). I thought that RDNIS was the answer, but it is always coming up blank. When I did a debug on the pri span, I saw the following...

ISDN30 card for UK : sanity check
We will be connecting our Asterisk server to ISDN 30 and intend using the Sangoma A101 card. The install location is in London (UK). Sangoma card at Voipon http://www.voipon.co.uk/sangoma-a101-pri-isdn-card-p-132.html?gclid=CI32vJz22I0CFQXklAodIgjHaA I would be grateful to hear if this is the right choice of card. Usage reports would be helpful. Regards Rory -- Rory Campbell-Lange

DASS2 support
My employer wants to use Asterisk, but the E1 circuit providing the current phone system is DASS2 rather than ISDN30. Converting the E1 to ISDN30 is not a practical proposition at this time as it'd stop the legacy phone system from working. Is there any sort of hardware support for DASS2? I speculate that the E100P should be able to deal with the electrical side of it, but I'm unsure of driver support....

BT - ISDN30 - International Calls not working, everything else is fine :(
Dear All, Thank you for taking the time to read this post - I am *confused!* as to why my asterisk setup does not work as it should. I have an ISDN 30 connection for telephony, a Sangoma card, and asterisk installed. Incoming calls, and outgoing calls work 100%. Making an international call, results in silence, or the error message all circuits are busy Numbers being passed to the trunk for

E1/T1 back to back ??
Hi there Just a quick question, I will be building some servers in a lab utilizing Digium E1 cards. I would like if possible to avoid the expense of installing an e1/ISDN30 in my lab. I have two questions really, first does anybody know of an effective simulation tool I can use to replicate a real world PRI but without the telco line being installed. And secondly, can I have a scenario with 2 asterisk servers with digium e1 cards 'back to back' one configured...

porting numbers in UK telewest/bt/adept
A client used to use BT isdn30 and ported the numbers to telewest several years ago. Now, the client moved to adept telecom. I *think* adept resells BT products. We got new numbers from adept (bt?) and the old pbx on the telewest lines forwards the calls to the new numbers. On the adept line I got a digium card in an opteron sup...

UK BT ISDN30e PRI Problem
...tonne of hunting around on this problem, but can't find much help. I'm running: asterisk 1.4.19.1 libpri 1.4.3 and zaptel 1.4.9.2 which I believe has been modified by RedFone to add the ztd-ethmf module. My interface is a RedFone foneBridge2 4 Span; and I'm connecting to a BT E1 PRI / ISDN30e with 15 lines on span 1, and a legacy Panasonic PBX on span 4. Upon connection of the E1 I get the following in pri debug span 1: Sending Unnumbered Acknowledgement q921.c:709 q921_reset: q921_state now is Q921_LINK_CONNECTION_RELEASED q921.c:664 q921_dchannel_up: q921_state now is Q921_LINK_CON...
