I/O resource -- not free --- IRDA problems?
...ready in use, skipping probe
Googling for this, I find it is relatively common, and on different laptops.
I thought it might be my internal SD reader causing the problems, but
these other notebooks do not have such devices. Then I found:

and:
"
IrDA - works except on COM3 / ttyS2
It appears that *ttyS2* (the FC2 default) does not work as the IrDA - on

MythTV on Centos 4
...ut. Wrong! Various posts seem to say that
the TV Out functionality is not supported by the X.org radeon driver. It *does* work
with the vesa driver though. I just don't know if video and DVD playback will work
with the vesa driver. Does anyone know?
- The stock RedHat kernel does *not* have irda support enabled. I downloaded
2.6.13.2, enabled irda, and my motherboard's irda port is found and configured. We'll
see if I can get it to work with the IR adapter in the nMediaPC case I bought.

Monitoring FS operations
Greetings All,
Without going into the specific reasons why I need to do so, is anyone
aware of a method (or tool) of watching real-time, human-readable (or
system call print) of ext3 filesystem operations on a mounted, active
filesystem?
Excuse me if this is a duplicate question but I was unable to find any
similar ones in the archives.
Thanks in advance!

morse-to-IRDA/Serial encoder that would accept key/paddle input, encode and
timestamp into serial message format, and be transmitted back to server
using the client machine's serial/IRDA port and then through telnet or
similar text-oriented session to the server. This seems to hold promise in

using running - should it always restart?
Hi,
I am fairly new to using puppet, but have it setup on 25 machines.
Just doing some basic configuration management. Recently I decided to
try working with updating some services config files and used the
ensure => running tags. My question is simple - if the source file
does NOT change and I use a subscribe, why does the system keep
restarting the daemon every time puppet runs?

Hi, just to avoid re-inventing the wheel, is there any document that
can help me reduce even further a "minimum" installation of Centos 4.4

I am in the process of creating a small Centos-4.4-based Asterisk box
